G'day folks,

I've been a long time lurker here, though I saw something recently which might interest many people, so I decided to register and share this link.

It's a blog which specializes in animation backgrounds for old animated movies. There are some incredible images in there, many of which you'll probably be familiar with.
Anyone who has played even a single adventure game will notice the striking similarities between these backgrounds and those used for adventure game backgrounds.

Hopefully someone might find these interesting or inspirational.

Thanks Jim!

I've always been interested in the backgrounds to cartoons because it looked like so much work was put in to something that would only be in a scene for a few seconds and not really payed attention too... Hooray internet!

I think it's incredible that someone would take the time to go back through still images and cut and paste sections from frames to erase the characters.  This is particularly challenging when you consider that most old cartoons have graining between frames at times, or color variations.
