Crap, I forgot all about it this year! This would've been the 5th Annual Look at Future Movies, too.

Should I still do it? Does anybody really care anymore?

Is there really a God?

1. Yes!
2. Well, I would read it, if that's what you mean by care.
3. We have a thread for this.

Yes Rich!! The thread title got me excited because its usually great fun to read...and now you've let me down, so I demand you actually write up the future movies! :p Dark Knight? Golden Compass? GO FOR IT :)

Stupot

Well, while Terran is busy with the list I'll get our whistles wet with a nice little teaser.

Titanic Two: The Surface (2008)
Leonardo DiCaprio reprises his role as Jack Dawson when deep sea archaeologists discover him frozen in a block of ice and revive him 96 years after the ship sank in the Atlantic ocean.  The authorities keep him sedated and imprisoned but he escapes and finds himself in a whole new world...

Yeah, Terran! I know LGM always has an idea about what's to come, but I know we both read them.

They're also fun to read in the future, to see what movies were hyped up and sucked. Or better yet, never made it to the theatre.

Wait...Terran still comes to these forums?

I've enjoyed reading over some of the 'Future Movie Lists' in the past. It couldn't hurt to make another one...unless you put Stupot's Tit-tanic two on there. ;)

Well, I'd say next years upcoming movie adaptation of Charles Burns epic graphic novel "Black Hole" is the one movie I'm most interested in right now. The comic is a chilling, extreme black & white/high-contrast depiction of teenage life in a small american town in the mid-70's, where a new, sexually transmitted disease is affecting and disfiguring teenagers both physically as well as mentally. A harrowing, violent, eerie and right-out brilliant tale of both horror and romance. I usually don't care much for "teens-and-their-troubles-growing-up"-stories, but this one really, really grabbed me. So naturally, I'm a bit suspicious of this movie version. I'm very doubtful that they can even come close to matching the genius that is the original, especially since a lot of the brilliance of it comes from the extremely stylized and iconic imagery of Charles Burns' artwork. Still, I can't deny that I'm curious of the outcome anyway.

The only thing that's really keeping me from being all out sceptic of the whole thing is the fact that the one who's doing the screenplay for the film is none other than Neil Gaiman.

Other than that, I'm always on the lookout for the next Coen Bros' film.

I happened to read Black Hole some time ago and I absolutely loved it. And they're making a film out of it? Can't wait to see that, although I'm sure it's not going to be as good.

What about Splinter Cell coming out in 2010?
Chaos Theory was a superb game! I hope the movie will be better.
Who's goanna play Sam Fisher?

TerranRich

Thanks for the notes, guys! I'M DOIN' IT!

I've got most of 2008 done in Notepad and will soon work on the future-er years. :=
