It's been ages since I posted here (when I did it was extremely infrequently at that), and this isn't really AGS related, but it is adventure game related, seems like something you guys would enjoy, and is fun, so hopefully I'm not too out of line here swooping by and dropping this thread! :) Anyway...

Live in Northern California and have nothing to do this Saturday? Telltale is having an open playtest / focus group for Sam & Max episode 203 (being the third episode of Season Two) this weekend and we're looking for people (you, probably!). Specifically, we're looking for people to come into the office, play through the latest episode of Sam & Max, and sit down with the design team (usually consisting of some combination of Brendan Ferguson, Chuck Jordan, and Dave Grossman) and share your thoughts on what worked for you in the episode, and what didn't.

We take the input from playtests very seriously - after working on a game in a bubble for a few months, it's extremely helpful to have a handful of people come in with fresh eyes and tell you that the puzzle you thought was so brilliant is actually mind-bogglingly confusing and awkward, or maybe to just reaffirm that a decision you were nervous about was the right one after all. What I'm saying is, the feedback we get from people at these is genuinely helpful - it's not just lip service. That said, playtest days are also pretty fun (it's hard to not have fun when theres a room full of people playing games), and most people who go to one usually keep coming back!

The playtest is this Saturday (Dec 8, 2007), starting around 11 or noon at the Telltale Games office. If you're interested, write to feedback@telltalegames.com with the word "playtest" somewhere in the subject line so we know what you're writing about! Telltale's office is located in San Rafael, CA, which is just a few minutes north of the Golden Gate bridge.

We do playtests for every episode, so if you live in the area but can't make this specific one, write in anyway and we'll let you know when the next one happens.

Curses! Looks like I might have to miss this one, surely there's a North Californian lurking around these parts though... it sounds like a fun oppertunity you'd be crazy not to attend.
