Demon Day

I'm stuck at the very beginning.  I have ketchup and a charm.  Seller has an expensive chili for sale.  Other man is at dock with boy and dragon on pier.  All I seem to be able to do is give ketchup to creature in house who smears it all over itself.  Help please!  How can I be stuck in a game with only a handfull of rooms? <sigh>
