This year I am giving....

Something special? Something thoughtful? Something usual, something soft, something hard, something refreshing, a computer game, a board game? A kiss on the cheek or two on the lips, perhaps just a hug? Or, nothing at all...

Christmas shopping starts earlier and earlier every year, and the stores and markets fill with people shopping. Merchandise is on sale before and right after the christmas, and the official christmas time sales start only a week after the last summer sales. So I think this isn't too soon as it is, 2-3 weeks to christmas is nowhere near the time of relaxing but anticipation and pressure and spending money.

Well, coming to this age I've noticed, that it's no longer, and hasn't been for a while, that important to get a certain amount of presents every year. In fact, it seems, the older you get, the less you get presents. However, they seem to be more useful to you than before. Take this shirt I've been wearing the whole year and compare it to what my brother did with her transformer action figure. Well, he did play, and he certainly has the right to do it. But I start thinking; what do I want to give people this christmas? And I know, no-one can really be expecting anything. Everyone knows I'm a poor student. But I've decided, no matter what, to get something special to my girlfriend since it is our first christmas together. Don't tell her, but I've been looking for a teddy with a zipper in the back so that I could put something nice there... Having trouble finding one though.

Last year I bought several presents. This year just one. But the joy of giving is still there, and the look on that someone's face when they open the present. Even if it's just a potato... (don't ask). Anyway; What is it, that you are going to make your loved ones happy with at this, the best time of the year, in exactly 2 weeks?

You could put raw meat in it. That's kind of witty.

Baron

Why not just buy a $3 zipper at a fabric store, cut open the bear and sew it on?  You could do it by hand in about half an hour.  PLUS, I have never known a woman who is not turned on by a man who can pretend he knows how to sew.

Tuomas

Couldn't do that to the poor bear. besides, am I really the only one who's interested in giving presents? :(

Stupot

I physically cannot begin shopping until I get paid on the 21st... (it'll be my first pay packet since April, I'm so looking forward to having money going into my account for a change).

And then, I might well be working in the day's between my payday and Jesus's birthday.  So it's quite possible I'm going to have to tell my folks that they will have to wait...

I am getting my girlfriend a PS2! I'm REALLY glad she hasn't asked for a DS Lite or a Wii.

Nikolas

I already got my wife a coffee maker! :D Matt, helped to that with a bit of advice actually!

And she loves it! she loves esspresso and capucino and all these fancy coffees. And she knows I thought of her, because this present (unlike some lingery last year ;D) is only for her! I simply don't drink coffee! So she knows I thought of her only! This makes it very special!

And, yes, I also hate last Xmas...  >:( :P

ManicMatt

I'm glad she likes it Nik!  :)

My shop is the best shop in town. Do you know why? It doesn't play christmas music!

Well, apart from when the owner of the company is covering me on my days off, like today.  ::)

This year I got my brother a job in Argos, that was like a xmas present, I had to stick my neck out to get it for him, and then he ran away. Fine, be on the dole then! He's 30 years old!!  >:(

Oliwerko

I see that this is that ultra-mega-total-hit type of song, reminds me of Tainted Love, which I collect ( not sure how to express it  ;D )
