King's Quest 2 Ambush

I have no time to do anything during the ambush I always get killed. Any solutions?

What ambush? Which part are you at and I'll try to help.

the ambush at the lake? If so, you must have the needle and if you have it, pick a reed near the lake, dip the needle in the poisonous water of the lake, put the needle into the reed and shoot it at the leader but you must do it quickly.

the problem is I never get the time to do it. It just kills me after the wolves enter the screen

at the Church where the wolves run at you? You have to quickly click your sword on one of the wolves to kill it. There's a tiny hotspot on the sword that you have to make sure you place on the wolf before you click it for it to work.
