And Natalie Portman was going back to school and wouldn't be in any more movies.

When celebrities make claims of retirement I only give it so much credence.  I think it's mostly just a way to make their "return" more dramatic and bring in more money at the box-office.  Connery's an old man ... so who knows, maybe he is actually retired.  When he dies (hopefully MANY years from now) and hasn't made another movie I'll believe it then

Sorry man ... I wasn't trying to be saucy!  I was just repeating what those people had said about retirement to illustrate my point!  That's all.

And as for IMDB ... a few months ago I was doing my usual snooping on there ... and Connery was listed as "rumored" in the cast list.  Since he's been removed I would guess he's really not in the movie but that wasn't really my point anyway!  I was just teasing about celebrities and their so-called "retirements".

Trailer looks fine, etc, etc...Honestly, how bad could it turn out? It has a couple of weak links, sure; David Koepp isn't my idea of a great screenwriter, Shia LaBeouf could easily prove to be annoying and shrill, and the...old...thing. Chances are it will at least be enjoyable, though how many fans will be satisfied by that?

If it does turn out to be so-so, it won't depreciate the quality of the originals; something fanboys seem to think happens when their favorite movies get awful sequels/prequels.

I think it has enough talent both behind and in front of the camera to keep the unthinkable from happening.

I personally hope that Shia LaBeouf eventually explodes, but I'll still see this movie.

I actually feel pretty good about this, and after Star Wars, well, I'm a bit sensitive. But I think Indy's a hero who can get old on us and still be Indy, because he was never an "action hero"...most, if not all, of his victories are seat-of-his-pants, fling-the-whip-that-way-and-hope-for-the-best sort of victories, and that's one reason I love him... *ahem* as a friend...

And Shia can be okay sometimes. I found Roundhouse to be annoying at first in Temple of Doom, and Shia can't be worse than that.

I'll just point out that in an interview with Sean Connery he made it clear he's not in this film and that he has well and truly retired from making movies.

This trailer was decent... Although inspiring at first, I was disappointed by the lack of Indy IV footage and how they had to use the old movies as filler. I mean, we all know about what happened with the other films, show us some good footage this time around... But I guess Indy trailers have never been all too great so we'll just have to wait till May.
