That girl from fairy tale... You know, the one with the red riding hood.

A little girl seemingly lost in the forest of old. I'd animate her, but my headache's getting worse, so here's liveless version for now. I am also dissatisfied with her dress, the blue one she's wearing underneath her cape, that is.

Soon there'll be a wolf and her grandma too. I hope.

Upd: That unhealthy color of her legs was ought to symbolize stockings she's wearing. I'll change it to a healthier one later.

There should be at least 1 pixel shadow on the left part of the dress too, it's covered by the red material you know :)

I made my version of shading, it's not perfect but I think that with the light from the left it should look more like this...
Some pople on the forum would probably make 10 times better edits :)

I think that is a great character.  I really love low-res sprites and the thick and colorful lines.  The only thing that looked odd to me was the arm holding the basket, but everybody has different tastes in art, and I think you have done a great job on it.  Cute and Simple... :)

Looking forward to seeing more.

I definitely think your art has improved, but there are a few things here that could use work, so I made an edit without using additional colors but making better use of the colors.

1.  Altered the hood colors to bring it from absolute red toward a more reddish-purple so that the pink face shade could be used as a highlight.

2.  Altered skin shade to be more red so it would work as a hair shade.

3.  Altered yellow to be more golden.

4.  Brought left arm up and to the right to make the length match the other arm and changed the colors of the basket to reduce color count.

5.  Changed feet and made the legs look less like sticks.

6.  Shaded the hood and body to bring out shapes and reduce the flat look of the body.

The left version is there to show you how my color adjustments affect the original.  You don't have to learn more efficient use of colors, but it will go a long way to help you improve your pixel art if you do.  I tried to keep the cute, pudgy face of the original and add to the look with pigtails and pink cheeks.

Progz as always bringing me down to my knees :)
Need to practice more X3

Just testing your character with a simple background I did real fast.

That pic of red with the background added gave me a REALLY strong feeling of nostalgia for King's Quest 1 and 2 for some reason..

Testing my background with another character.

edit: After 6 years of using AGS I now know how  to import characters.. :'(

I thought of her as a young girl.. The art adding the breasts is a little disturbing lol

That's just Yarooze. Nothing unusual here.

I like ProgZ's edit, but I think the eyes were a bit nicer with whites around them.

As long as this seems to be 're-draw' day...
I tried to get rid of the parts that bothered me, 'frizzy' hair ends on the ponytails, the legs, and couple other things.
:D

Now she's bow-legged :)

I love this stuff.  You guys are amazing sprite artists.
