Apprentice Deluxe user interface [RESOLVED]

This is really sad, but I've tried every key on my keyboard, all three buttons on the mouse, pressing and holding, scrolling...the only options I can get are quit (CTRL+Q), walk to (left click), save, restore, and quit (the banner).

What magic spell must I utter to Look, Talk, and Use?

Move your mouse to the bottom of the screen. Or, use the number keys 1-4.

No worries. If ever you're confused about a game's interface but, check the readme first. Most developers put this information in there, and it saves you having to wait for a response on the boards!

I see this bit was fixed in the sequel so that you can right-click, which was the way I had originally attempted it.

I always found the interface the only weak spot of Apprentice 2... though it already is a great improvement over A1, which drove me *insane*.

Aww, I didn't find the interface in A1 so bad when using the number keys to switch verbs. Once you figured out which button selected which verb it worked fairly well for me
