I just got a pen tablet for my computer (bamboo fun). I fooled around on Corel Painter for a few hours and came up with this painting of a rose for my wife:

Your wife would be very pleased I say. It's beautiful :)
I am a mighty pirate. Arrrrgh!

Moresco

Looks awesome!  Is Corel the one with the life-like brushes?  I'm not sure if it is or not, but I downloaded a demo of something like that, and it just blew me away.  It felt very similar to photoshop but it just felt a bit better.

yes RedPress - Corel simulates real painting very well. im impressed with it myself.

Wow this looks darn impressing. The empty black background needs something apparently but it's not bad as it is.
Worked on Strangeland, Primordia, Hob's Barrow, The Cat Lady, Mage's Initiation, Until I Have You, Downfall, Hunie Pop, and every game in the Wadjet Eye Games catalogue (porting)
