Quest for glory sprite extractor

allrighty i dont know if this has been asked before but i searched for it and couldnt get anything ..... about a year or soo ago i found a programme which extracted backgrounds and sprites from the .resource files from the game ....  but i lost it due to several computer crashes please does anyone know the name of the programme or where i can get the programme from it would be great help ... actually i am making a fan game where all the worlds of the 4 games would  be combined with a new story and dialouges and maybe a new character class as well
