Help me to identify this music

1993/1994? that's odd, because
"Model 500 - The Flow (Underworld MK 1 Mix)" or
"Model 500 - The Flow (Underworld MK 2 Mix)" or even
"Model 500 - The Flow (Original Mix)"
have been released in 1995...

So, or your sister is wrong or that music app 'Tunatic' didn't catch it properly...

You're right. I think Tunatic got it right because it is the same track as in my mp3 as far as i can hear.
So we can assume that the year is 95. That may also be the case for the other tracks.

Ah, if the time frame has now moved from "late 80s" to "95 or later", you might want to check out Thievery Corporation. I don't recognize any of the tracks specifically, but a couple of the ones early in the mix kind of sound like them. Also, allmusic.com offers a good way to browse genres and similar artists if you know other things that sound like what you're looking for.

Thanks Snarky. I checked out some of Thievery Corporations music on youtube, but I couldn't find anything that sounds like my mp3, although I agree that they sound a bit like it.
I also checked out allmusic.com, but it seems really hard to find anything without knowing exactly what you're looking for. I did a search for Model 500 Flow Underworld Mix. It did find the original track, but not this specific remix. I even searced on Model 500 and Underworld to browse through each of their works, but I still didn't find it. Weird..

I've made a quick video for youtube (well actually 3 videos, since I had to split it up), requesting the names of the tracks. There must be someone who knows what it is!

Hey blue.
I've managed to find out some of the titles.  
The time is the exact point that I found out a title, so it's not the start point of the title.
The year is the release date of the single.

From the start untill 07:36 I wasn't able to recognize anything.
It looks like there are two tracks before the S.U.M.O. track starts.
And the first tracks looks like an extended intro mix.

Anyway, so far I found out these:

07:36: S.U.M.O. feat. Juvelen - It's Good
08:18: Eddit feat. Jon Lou - Preshus Nerves
10:19: Liquid, Liquid - Cavern [somewhere between 1983 & 1997]
11:43: Oriental Funk Stew - Sweet Melody (Fred Everything & Olivier Desmet Remix)
12:40: Octaves & Tremolos - Spike [1994]

Plus the one you found:
17:52: Model 500 - The Flow (Underworld remix) [1995]

The length of the downloaded wav file was 15:33 so it seemed it was broken.
I will re-download it and check the rest of the file for titles.

Yeh, probably some kind of a DUB version or a Clean Edit version. Can't find any official info on that though....

You might have recorded this in 1995, but by the sound, I'd say this music is definitely older.

Some tracks sound like something you could find from those cheap Ibiza Trance / (or house) CDs. But some sound much, much more underground to make onto such stick-into-your-car-stereo compilations.

The only thing I found out so far is, that one of the identified tracks is from 1995, the other tracks could be older than that. I agree that some of it sounds older. But I still like it.

But even if I discover the names of all the tracks, I'll never find the specific mix that was recorded on tape.. How do you track down a DJ you don't know...?

Yes!! Another track has been uncovered!
It is the track at the beginning of the mp3, and it's been identified as:  IO - libre (andrea parker remix), which I have confirmed.
