Is there any tools or tips available for creating good high quality LucastArt style backgrounds for use in AGS? This is always a problem when it comes to using AGS - my sprites look good, but my backgrounds look awful.

Learn to draw.
Or find others to do all work for you.
Seriously, nothing else comes to mind.  ;D

..sorry if that sounded rude or something ;) it's just that question is way too general, it is like "how I draw a good picture".

You need to post this in the critic's lounge. Your problem has everything to do with your (dis)ability to create backgrounds, which has absolutely nothing to do with AGS.

If you post in the Critics Lounge though, make sure you include one of your backgrounds. There are a few tutorials floating around, there's a sticky with some in the Critics Lounge.

(Also, you should have never posted this here. There's no short way to creating professional backgrounds, or all our games would look like LA made them. Apart from that, this isn't a technical question regarding AGS. Please read the forum rules before posting.)

Hi skerrigan, if you like you can stop by my forum and check out the Site Links area, or the Tutorials area. I keep a bunch of freeware programs there that you might find helpful. You don't have to join, you can just click on the links and go where you need to go. Here is the address:

Well I search google and copy-paste images together. Then I start changing colors and positions till I've got something that I like.
I could draw everything as wel, but I don't want it to be too static.
