Hi everybody,

My name is Robbert and I am new to this forum. I have been browsing through the AGS website, played some of the games and followed a couple of tutorials.

All this has made me very eager to do my own adventure so I downloaded AGS-3.1.2-SP1 and installed it.

Unfortunately I get the following error each time I try to run AGS :

Let me translate some of the texts as they are in dutch:

Line 2:
D: "Kan bestand of assembly AGS.native....token=null of een van de afhankelijkheden hiervan niet laden. Het onderdeel waar naar wordt verwezen is niet op het systeen geïnstalleerd (uitzondering van HRESULT...)"
E: "Cannot load file or assembly AGS.native....token=null or one of the dependants. The component that is referred to is not installed on this system. (exception of HRESULT...)"

Line 5:
D: "Bestandsnaam"
E: "Filename"

Line 6:
D: "Het onderdeel waar naar wordt verwezen is niet op dit systeem geïnstalleerd"
E: "The component that is referred to is not installed on this system".

After I click on "okay" to remove the error-alert the AGS title screen (with the big blue cup) keeps standing on my desktop and won't dissapear until I restart my pc.

I am using XP sp-3.

I already have searched the forum for people who had the same error but I couldn't find it. I found topics on other errors and the only thing I saw was that it was possible that I didn't have a proper installed microsoft .NET Framework.
I have installed .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 but still the same error occurs.

After I couldn't get AGS 3.1 to work I installed AGS 2.7. That works like a charm :).

I hope anyone can help me with this.

Thanks in advance!

try downloading and reinstalling AGS.

...could the install be corrupted?

I did that a couple of times. I also un- and re-installed Framework but nothing helped...

Thanks! I didn't see that one. I downloaded the 3.2 beta and it works!   :D

Interesting that you've had this problem too. I wonder what the component is that it can't find...
