Pretty much as the subject line says, really. What does it mean when code is contained with these lines, and is there any documentation on them and their effects?

Thanks.

They are from the 2.72- editor. The 3.0+ editor no longer requires these tags. They were there to provide the same functionality that the function list drop-down box now provides but for built-in menus. So despite the warnings, they're safe to delete.

It was the third thread that would've come up if you had searched for '#sectionstart'.  :P

They will not be automatically removed by any current or prior AGS version. However, so long as you're using at least AGS 3.0 (or any higher version than that, currently up to 3.2 RC 3) then you can safely remove those lines yourself. Just be sure not to delete the actual functions if you need them.

As I said in the post that Ryan quoted, they were used by older versions of AGS which had hard-coded menu options. The new AGS editor uses the function drop-down instead, which is clearly much nicer to work with.
