Arclight

I have a quick question for the mods, here: I've just changed my name on the forum. Is that okay? I know that some fora consider it a form of sockpuppetry, and I wanted to make sure I wasn't violating a rule of some sort.

Dualnames

You're not. This has been done by many people, including Chris Jones. Pumaman's real nick is CJ. Nacho's real nick is Farlander, Edmundito's real nick is netmonkey, Ben304 real nick *gets shot*
Worked on Strangeland, Primordia, Hob's Barrow, The Cat Lady, Mage's Initiation, Until I Have You, Downfall, Hunie Pop, and every game in the Wadjet Eye Games catalogue (porting)

Atelier

(Not a mod but) yeah that's fine, your username stays the same and lots of people change it around.

Domino

I have done it three times. Started with BuffaloGamer, then switched to Dark of Night, then went to Domino years ago.

The only thing bad that might happen is that you may have to take a timeout in a corner.

Either way TCS, if you hover your mouse over someones member name you get to see the original nick. (nikolasideris here ;))

Saberteeth

Yeah I used to be,...a noob.  :-[

Tsk tsk tsk. You were warned, James Spanos.

Andail

ha ha, how amusing that you think this is ok.

Global mods like the Amazing Andail have the super power to see what your registration name is so they will always know who you are, anyway.  Oh, and they also see your IP and can watch you through your monitor.

They like to watch you when you're sleeping.

Gilbert

Whether the hovering trick works depends on the settings of the browser. For example, when I hover the cursor over a nick I only see the link to that member's profile page.

However, you can always check one's log-in name easily by just checking his profile. The name after the word 'Summary' is actually his log-in account name, whereas the one in the 'Names' field one line below is the current nick.

Dualnames

Why when I hover over my name all i see is "Chuck Norris"?

You don't hover over Chuck Norris, He hovers over you and breaks your arms and legs while doing push-ups.

Then he drinks a nice glass of tea.  :)

Tee hee. Yeah, Dualnames, you didn't know they had a mafia in Australia, did you? Ben may make cute games, but don't mess with him if you value your kneecaps! ;D

I have only one quick question: Marvel Arclight, DC Arclight or Adam Arclight?
