I actually did... I think I've got start 25th aniversary laying around somewhere actually..  I remember playing it as a lad... sitting with that fuckin star map finding where to go next... it was almost like... a Pre-GTA map concept..  I also once played a few of the Goblins series... they just didn't do anything for me... kinda like chewy escape from f5... didn't really do anything for me..

Joseph DiPerla

Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders --- One of the greatest classics around. Also try the sequel thats fan made at zak2.org

And these are not exactly full point and clickers... But adventure games none the less and they are great:

Mean Streets
Martian Memorandam
Rise of the Dragon.

Discworld 1,2 and discworld noir should be mentioned as well.

Oh and innocent until caught was nice.

Elvira by Horrorsoft was one of my favorite adventure games growing up, so if you don't mind gory visuals and some combat elements I definitely recommend it.  It was certainly one of the best looking titles of its time, and not just because of Elvira's tits!

I actually got them, but I actually need some help there.. (well i don't have noir). I have an original CD Version of Discworld 2, but when I run it in doxbox its extremely glitchy and jumps a lot, and it really cuts up the dialogue, is there a better way to run it?

I remember playing it when I had win98. Not an expert on the technical side of things but maybe try it under win98 compatability?

Don't remember though if I ran it through dos or just win98. Sorries!

Yeah i'm running on vista, its the most non-compatible system of windows ever made!  Especially annoying because I had to buy stuff like broken sword all over again because the copy-protection was only scripted on OS's up to XP!

I picked up machinarium today.. it came with a poster, booklet and music CD and of COURSE the game...  its apparently the "collectors edition" version... so now i'll be sure to check it out... It was also interesting to read about the "Pirate amnesty sale" that they had... I didn't know so many people pirate adventure games, surely in a genre thats so small you'd wanna buy them and support the developer to make some new good content....
