100 AGS games

I'm trying to put together a list of 100 AGS games. I'll make a youtube video with that list. The only requirement is that there should be a working download link. Any suggestions?

One of the KQ remakes by...whatever they're calling themselves now.. AGD?

Filtering the threads on Completed Games to most posts is a good indication of which ones have been most popular. Also through a few lesser-known gems into the mix though.

If the purpose is to show what AGS can do, then I submit the last level of my own Fully Automatic Mojo. At the higher difficulty levels, you're being chased by a horde of almost 50 monsters.

If it's just a showcase, then obviously Larry Vales, RON, OSD (the new RON), something by Yahtzee (Rob Blanc?), Spoonbeaks, Ben Jordan, Pleurghburg (hope I spelled that right), Charlie Foxtrot, Princess Marian, Annie Android, Blackwell, Fantabulous Wonderment, Bouncy Boxing, Shifter's Box, Ben & Dan, Permanent Daylight, and something by Icey

That's all I can think of.

If the video is not titled "The Worst 100 AGS games" I'd love to have my Snakes of Avalon in there.

On the other hand, there are so many AGS games to choose from, it would probably make the most sense to give the video a more specific theme, for example "AGS Awards", "funniest AGS games", "my favorite AGS games" etc.

That's all I can think of.

You can filter the games you see on the Games Page by length, genre or number of cups (although strangely not by user rating.....).  It's hard to make further suggestions without some criteria -is it just ANY 100 AGS games, or do you want the best?  Or most popular?  Or most recent?  Or pinkest?

What kind of video will that be? One of those video where each games have 6 seconds, for a grand total of 100 games shown in 10 minutes? If so, when you get your list of 100 games, I suggest you find what area each games excel at and showcase that, some games have great jokes, for others it's the animation or puzzles or gameplay that would shine the most in a video.

Wow, that'd be a lot of gaming (100 games!).  I think loontje should kill two birds with one stone and join the ratings ubergesellschaft  -er, panel.

It's been done a couple times, there's one with 100 Click games in 10 minutes, each games having 6 seconds. Pixel Prospector did two, one with 190 indie games currently in development and one with 235 free indie games.

I think it would be especially effective at spreading the word about AGS games since indie games outlet appeared around 2007 and the games from 2000-2007 are largely uncovered, and save for a handful of people here who spread the word beyond this forum, most of the coverage AGS receives on these outlets is limited to the Top 20 features posted at the beginning of the year, so if these outlets were to pick up that video, most of the folks who would watch it would have no idea most of these games existed before.

Show interesting or funny scenes during these 6 seconds, choose a nice adventurey soundtrack to fill this 10 minutes put the name in the top corner and that's it. No need for the cup ratings, by choosing 100 out of the 1000 or so games in the database, you're already choosing the cream of the crop.

It would also be a nice project for the 11 or so years we've been around.
