I start a new game because ags 2.3 wont read .agf files. Can some one make a Default Game and post here please?

?

AGS opens ags files when you select "Continue an existing game".

I don't get what doesn't work exactly.

"I start a new game because ags 2.3 wont read .agf files." doesn't make a lot of sense.

If you have a proper file association (such as the one set up by the AGS installer) then you can double-click AGF files to open that project. If you don't have the association for AGF files then Windows will ask you what program you want to use to open it. Simply browsing to the AGS Editor and opening it with that should be fine.

However, in the title you reference AGS 3.2, yet in your actual post you said "2.3". AGS 2.3 was released 26 January 2002..so I'm pretty sure that was a typo.

AGS 3.2 does read AGF files..unless of course..you're doing it wrong.

Oh I almost forgot about this topic.

I meant to say I was trying to start a new game with ags 3.2. But I there were no templates to select.

Also I did not know I could do that but what I did for now was I downloaded ags 3.1.2 or 3.2.1 and made a new game and there and loaded it into ags 3.2.

Inside the AGS3.2 folder there's supposed to be a folder called "Templates"; in there should be several .agt files, among them "Default Game.agt".
When you start a new game, AGS browses the Templates dir and shows all compatible templates in there.

The thing is they don't show up in ags but they are in the folder also this was before I download ags 3.1.
