Help :(

Hey guys! I'm not very AGS savvy, I don't create games myself I just enjoy downloading and playing them!

Anywhoo, every game I've downloaded lately; I have not been able to play and I'm not sure why. Probably an easy fix but like I said I'm not very savvy with this kind of thing!

Here's what's been happening:
After downloading I'm able to open the game's file folder
I double click on the application and 'extract all' because if I hit run it won't work
After extracting, I double click on the application again and the game will open full-screen but it will be a black background with no images or cursor, although the music will play.
I've tried opening the winsetup and changing it so it is not full screen, and the game will appear to load but very slowly and choppy, and I can't move the cursor.
I've tried playing around with some of the other settings in the winsetup but nothing is seeming to work for me, I've never had this problem before

Sorry if it's a silly question but if anyone could offer me some help I would really appreciate it! You might want to dumb it down a bit though so I can understand thank you much!

What winsetup options did you try?

If more or less all AGS games stopped working properly over night, there's probably something wrong with your computer.
Download Malwarebytes and run a scan.
