I would like some feedback on this website please:

I have NO knowledge or experience of html, so I think I have done pretty well.

Thanks in advance  ;D

It's maybe a bit too simple (like a banner would be nice so the title part kind of separates from the background) but it looks ok and clean.

Maybe check on the title, the letters are not aligned ok.

It is very simple.  But that's not a bad thing!

I did a very (and I do mean VERY) quick little touch-up to offer up some ideas to keep it simple, but just punch it up a bit:

- altered the background color and added a very subtle fade/gradient
- touched up the logo a bit and added a slight drop shadow
- pulled the tagline up under the logo (the spacing was off a bit before)
- nav I changed but only slightly
- I played a bit with the fonts (using impact) but in your final product make sure all fonts match (mine don't!)
- I corrected the margins/padding of the main content area (you have text going right up to the divider)
- I punched up the side content box (added a gradient and made it a grey color instead)

I didn't have a lot of time so there's more I'd like to have done ... alas, the clock dictates this was all I could do!

I hope it helps!

The colours are quite disturbing to me... both the light blue background and the white page are too bright.
Except from this issue, the site is very simple but very functional at the same time.

Hi

After a lot of tinkering, I decided to use Wordpress, as I find it easier to create a professional looking website with. I have kept the same sort of theme as the last website.

I would love to hear what people think of the new look?

Abisso

I dunno... I don't see a significant improvement to be honest. The layout and the colours are more or less the same ('more or less' because I'm comparing it with Darth's edit, since the old version of your site is gone).

I'd still recommend darkening the white and the azure.

But if you look at my website, you'll probably understand that I'm a huge fan of darkness, so it's just a matter of personal taste, I guess.

I think maybe the background could use some texture to it, or maybe be darkened just a bit, but other than that it looks nice!

Honestly, I think it looks pretty great.

Things I like:

-The highlight on the menu bar. It reminds me of some of the work going on in the Elementary project, and I like the subtle highlighting.

-The alignment of social media icons. Putting them off to the side like that seems very appropriate; it allows for the user to check you out more in-depth, but it doesn't completely spatter the page with "VISIT ME! CHECK ME OUT! FOLLOW ME!" (Some sites do this a bit too heavily)

-The logo. It reminds me of a font I used for a project a while back. Is that the Press Start font?

-I really like the color scheme. I think with some gentle touchups, it could really shine.

A few pointers:

-The random space between the Menu Bar and the rest of the page doesn't exactly make sense. I think it would look better if the menu was simply moved down a couple pixels.

-The space with the comment count , authorname, and date just gives the entries a really odd, disjointed look.

-There is a ton of white space. It feels like a good amount of that needs to go to good use somehow.

-The design isn't bad, but it's definitely got a "Blog" look to it. If that's what you're going for, great. But, I've always been of the mindset that a team site (aka, a game company) should be more of a showcase. It certainly gives us a view of what's going on, but it doesn't really summarize anything past being a personal weblog. I'll show you a recent design of my own personal site below to give you some contrast. Everything is summarized and accessible, giving just enough of a taste of recent content to keep people interested, but not completely drowning them in it.

I'll put together a mockup with some ideas to play with.
