Ok,

I'm still researching, but mostly planning the campaing... Talking to people, proof reading the texts (the word campaign for example... ;D), etc...

But I've got one major question, that I'd like to avoid contacting kickstarter directly.

If you are a UK creator, you need to

Quote*You are a permanent UK resident either creating a project in your own name or on behalf of a legal entity with a Companies House Number.
* You have a UK address, UK bank account, and government-issued ID (driver's license or passport).
* You have a major UK credit or debit card.
* You are 18 years of age or older.

I have a permanent UK address, as well as a UK bank account and UK credit/debit card. That's fine. The one part that I'm a bit worried is that "government-issued ID" (in my case my passport), which is Greek.

With the outlined text, there doesn't seem to be a problem with my nationality, but that 'government' part has me a tiny bit worried...

Anyone can rest my fears, please?

PS. I've seen various projects listing Athens, Greece as their place, but they apparently are 'just running the project from outside of the UK'... ;)

BTW, BUMP,

and the whole project has sided a bit to include a much vaster, bigger and more exciting idea... Can't share right now, but trust me it's an excellent idea that can appeal to a much larger audience...

Hi there Nikolas.

Glad to see that you're moving forward.
Do you have to start your KS project as a UK project?
I am having the impression that projects in US currency have a higher chance of success, so if possible by KS, you might want to reconsider.

In any case, I can't be much help here, but I was wondering how all the projects from around the world started their projects.
There are many who did their campaign in US dollars (including the awesome Project Giana from Germany).

So I guess there is a way even to do it.

Good luck!

PS: I haven't been hanging around AGS lately because there's a lot going on in my life at the moment, but I have planned to frequent this place more often next year when the dust has settled.
I'm still watching this thread though.

I know that the US projects have a better chance, especially since most people I know ARE from the US, but it seems much more difficult to do it. Unless I use a complete proxy, but in that case THAT person would seem as the campaign manager, rather than me, which is a major drawback...

So I'm torn in half.

Can't he just do it in your name? Which he would do anyways then but more official by using your name. Like, you suddenly moved to america to his address or so. And when the campaign is successful it is also easier to run away with the loot then. And also: always listen to what people advice you to do on the internet ;)
Sorry can't be of much help in this tricky situation.

LOL!

Nia... I trust my proxy completely! Utterly and insanely so! ^_^

Actually... you just gave me an idea. He could be a part of my company, in which case he would do it under HIS name, but in an alias of my company... and I could just grab the codes and carry on from there... *I think*...

Yes, expanding across the globe is the only resonable thing to do :D
Sounds like some paperwork or online form work but *could* work. *Note: I'm not a lawyer so I can give free legal advise without any knowledge*
