SOLVED: 3.4.0.9 Error loading Template

Hi,

unlike my last post, which ended up with a few headaches I will explain this problem so you will hopefully understand it..

I am making a game with someone. We both use 3.4.0.9. I saved the game as a Template and sent it to the other person. He loaded it and did his stuff. He saved it as a new template and send it back to me but it errors and can't be loaded into my ags. It is security unblocked. I'm not sure why this is. My other saved 3.4.0.9 templates load OK.

EDIT The guys just informed me he is now using 3.4.0.10

If your friend uses higher version of AGS, then this is probably because there was a slight data format change between those versions. Older versions of AGS can rarely load anything saved by newer ones.
I really recommend you both to update to the latest version of AGS (which was released recently).
You will be able to update your game project without problem.

If you cannot do that for some reason, there are few manual tweaks that can be done to the project file to "downgrade" it, but they require some advanced knowledge of the project file contents. Better try the above option first.
