I will add "Don't include references within the thread" to the list of things people didn't like about my codes:

Don't include cultural stuff some people might not know about.
Don't include too much math stuff.
Don't include specific knowledge of fields people might not be familiar with.
Don't include references within the thread.

(There were a few more that I forgot about)

So, basically, create a code that exists within its own vacuum that anyone can solve but still offers a decent but fair challenge for everyone...

Possible, but very hard to do consistently.



Naw, I think the fact that the codes get solved eventually is good enough.

Everyone shouldn't be happy all the time.

Stupot said it best I feel... "I like how it often feels like a community effort to solve each code."

No, not at all... Cheers for the good words. I just thought the complaints were kind of funny and did a thing with them.

I mean, if a puzzle can be solved by someone on an internet forum and people complain that it wasn't the exact puzzle that they were able to solve.
