First off: I hate the fact that my personal information is probobly already in about 5 billion databases WITHOUT my permission, I'm not gonna put it in another one by choice.

Secondly: I dont think a popular vote to single out the "important" AGS'ers is gonna bring this community any closer together.

Thirdly:  If I kicked off tomorrow, you guys would never know it... common, admit it! :p

people live, people die, if I died no one would notice, there would be no way to know if I just decided to leave or died.

I think it just adds to a mystery, I'm sure this has already happened ie where the hell did jesus go

At the risk of sounding corny, when I die, I don't want you to feel sorry or anything. I don't want that kind of thing going on between us.

I just want us to spend the time we have in the best way we can, and everything else is irrelevant for me.
Those who can, do, and those who can't brag about how they do it at least fifty times a day somewhere on the internet.

Scid... If so, simply, don´t enter in the database. And if you feel blue knowing bad news from your mates... just, don´t consult it.

But I am starting to think that there is not a lot of people interested in this, so, I´ll do a "little database" for me  :)
Are you guys ready? Let' s roll!

Once again farlander has proved he was the smartest in here...see how he solved this huge problem in one sentance that even a baby could understand.

It's a good thing since soon or later there would only be babies on this forum ( find out more in the "kindergarten " thread)

I am a 24 guy who pedals 20,000 kms each years (works as a anthidot for the AGS anti-growing effect), and Spanish, a little desertic countree near La grande France.

So... I am better preppaired than LasNaranjas (an aussie 8 yo guy, who does not pedal) to understand Pétaglait humour sense.  ;D

TheYak

Probably the sense of "humor." However, if Pet could actually come up with a concept Las couldn't understand, I'll quit adventure games forever.

Nacho

Yeah... LasNaranjas is very smart... and he smells well.

Felipe

Heh... I've been thinking about this lately before seeing this thread...
Everyday, we face "ordinary situations" that can result in death... and I thought: What if I died? You guys would never know about it (yes, I remembered you all) - well, you'd notice the lack of nonsence jokes but... that means nothing (at all).

Anyways, I don't fully agree with the database thingy; however, I do think we should have some kind of "knowleadge" about the others...

My idea is: Everybody, should know the telephone number or something from another (from the same country, for example) and if they think something is going on they could call. And it wouldn't be like that GameHaxor example, since, being them from the same country, they'd be like "friends"...

Hope you understood what I was trying to say... :-\
Don't blame me - I didn't know it!   (I have the feeling this will come handy...)

Yeah, nice idea... All the members liked by knowing the telephone of your mates on the same country... Whay do you think, people?
Are you guys ready? Let' s roll!

Butcher

Don't you worry guys. If I die, the first thing I'll do the next morning is post about it.

Paranoia

it probably is a good idea, BUT it would only applies to 10% of the forum members, us lesser mortals who are newbies or don't take much part in the forum or on IRC, wouldn't be missed and i don't think anyone would give a toss if they did notice

pity we can't book our deaths in advance... make life/death a lot easier lol

How would you know something had happened? What if we were just on holiday?
