So this means that when I die, there won't be a cool-ass folky song sung about me.....Man Anail, I seriously don't feel like dying now...

miguel

Sea snails are good too, very tasty, but there is one kind of sea-snails that can kill you in minutes, highly poisonous!

me gusta much las mamadas!

pero no me gustan la caca i la seasnails

i like seasnails a bit more but id rather eat a quarter pounder with cheese (royal cheese in france)
actually a royal without cheese would be even better but they discountinued it in france i dont now why. Their cheddar is made of i don know ...maybe snail slime mixed with oil

the famous giant killer snail from portugal is very dangerous indeed... don't you stare at him in the eyes

I'm Canadian french, snails aren't on my list ... I'd rather a homemade shepard's pie or a poutine! mmmm.... fries... lol!

I have to say that I've met someone from the internet a year ago, at first he was just an internet aquaintance that had pretty much the same interests I had. He was just and internet friend like you guys, not really real, or touchable ... or human (sometimes it feels more like I'm inside a game interacting with the computer players than real humans). Anyways, one day I decided to have a cup of coffee with him, fortunately he lived in the same province as mine and I bought my ticket, took the bus and travelled 30 hours up north. I met him, we talked, laughed, had a cup of coffee, watched some anime and a few days later I came back home. And that's when it hit me ... I had known this person for 3 years on the internet and even though I had never met him during that time, I had made a friend. Meeting him only confirmed our already strong friendship. I am marrying this man next year, god bless the internet!

What I meant to say was that even though we seem to be mostly paragraphs of writing, we still get attached and make friends that could be as important to us as an old childhood friend would be.

If I die, none of you would grieve me (because I'm new here) but I'm sure there's people here that are friends and don't really realize it, yet their grief would be as sharp if they learnt the bad news of the loss of an online friend.

Anyways, I'm rambling on again, lol! I hope my post dosen't offend anyone, I'm really tired and need to go to sleep.

Goodnight, goodnight.

il est pas *censored*   ;)

Excuse me but i don't think we HAVE TO suffer in life, most of the the time it is something that simply HAPPEN(suffering)and you cannot avoid.... I mean imagine squinky dies (for example) i would prefer not have realised we were the best friends in the world, because it's sad enough that doesn't deserve all the community to mass-suicide right after that.
Internet is a good thing for that, preventing us from suffering the bad moments in human relationships.
If starting a chat on the internet was as hard and had as much consequences as in real life nobody would enjoy forums.
For example you are tired of the community take a vacation for several months when you come back everybody says "hello what's up?" .nobody would start to doubt about you honesty creditability or what ever which  happens all the time with "real" people.

That's the only way to enjoy relationship with sometimes more than 50 people : not having all the responsabilities you have in life, otherwise it would be impossible

of course it is not a strict rule it is not even a rule just a fact and everyone is free to live it their way with their own sensibility

what a speech!

vote petaglair!!!

Coffee Lady, if you ever go to Portugal I'll cook you some snails and I'll make you change you're opinion about them, even giant ones, you will only have to bring dark sun glasses. ;)

well, I think I'll have a look in the kitchen, I think there's some snail burgers left

Geez, what was He thinking, a bloody Kiwi,

j/k

that is also a valid point, meeting people on the net can be a bit misleading, for it to work properly over a long period of time can turn out good or bad as with any relationship.

I have 2 sisters, 1 older, 1 younger, both married, older one been married 2wice, 1st lasted 8 years, 2nd currently 2.

my younger sister been with the guy for 10 years, been married almost 1 year

not net relationships,

I can't hold a decent relationship for longer than a few months, but that's just me, I don't need to be in a relationship constantly, personally I don't think it's human nature, feeling comfortable with yourself first is a start, most people never find that because their partner fills that gap, I guess I've never found the right girl.

But most people find someone within there own city, the world is wide, it was not meant for settling for what's close cause your desperate not to be alone, get out there and explore the world, it will only make for a stronger more diverse future.

M

Thats dodgy coz one of my cousin's married someone he met online. And she was from New Zealand too. I think they're still together. I know that he went and lived there with her for a year or so, now they're over here again for a while. I dunno. I dont keep track of stuff like that.

Sorry people for french speaking but i had to deal with a big annoying misunderstanding....that has amazingly nothing in common with the usual misunderstandings i regularly have with english speaking people on this forum.... :o
french speaking or bilingual people should have probably gotten the point of that problem
and maybe explain to coffe lady she is wrong and not to be mad at me for what she thought i was thinking of her

Wow! My poor knowleadge of french tolds me that Coffe lady´s last sentence is...

I feel deeply insulted because your lack of respect.

Petaglair... I can´t be insulted by you... I am not easy to hurt, but, as you can see... many people can. IMO Your humour is hilarious, but the problem is that there is no no mid point with your jokes, you can love them... or hate them. Please, be careful, threads are not a good place to make sarcastic humour because even with emoticons it can be easily misunderstood and hurt people.
Are you guys ready? Let' s roll!

Back to the matter at hand...

I think we should have at least SOME way of finding out if members are OK. For example, I haven't seen evil in weeks & am worried about him. Anyone know where he is?
