Animating Stuart for Phonebooth... c&c plz!

here is the animation for stuart, when he's going to answer his phone, you don't see the phone, but just see it in your imagination! :p


btw, gif is 256 color , so it's bad quality... It's going to be 16bit in the game

Well, shouldnt he have like one hand on the side of the phonebooth orsomething not just standing there. Another thing is that he pulls the phone up the movies his head, they should be at the same time. And it also looks like he is knocking the phone of the hook rather then picking it up...

It's nice, I like the head movement, but the character's knees are a bit odd. Maybe it's the size..

And two points of criticsm about Stu:
1) He should have a little beard.
2) His face should be somewhat thinner.

you probably should learn how to use bones.. looks like boxes that moves around.

yeah... I should... damn bryce doesn't work with bones! But tnx for the advice... and im going to darken that suit so you wont see the particles... and i am going to make a walk anim. Or maybee I should just spent more time, with the knees and elbows :s

2) I think if you swaped the colours of the top of the legs with the bottom of the legs, he would look more like his knees bent outwards.

I've never enjoyed 3D adventure games, thats why i've been going off the commercial ones, I prefer sticking to good ole 2D, I find it more suited to the genre.

But otherwise, it looks okay.

His knees get to me... shouldn't they be pointing outwards rather than folding in? And I think, if you wanted to make his movement more human, when he lifts the invisible phone up to his ear, rather than the arm just stopping suddenly, it should be more gradual (i.e.  as the phone approaches his head have his arm slow down until it stops at the ear.)

Otherwise, good work.

Minime, I really suggest you visit www.curiouslabs.com. Poser is a graphics program that allows you to create people very easily. It's from the same branch as Bryce (MetaCreations originally before they went bankrupt).

So, you can easily import from Poser into Bryce. And it's a lot easier to animate your character using their supplied models.
