Take a look at these backgrounds, please.

I think DOTT has colored outlines, yes, though I don't recall exactly.

I did it with black outlines just to do it quickly, as a demonstration, It wouldn't be too hard to do the same with colors I guess, by zooming in and finding the right pizel to change color at.

Interesting though, when there are two colors using the same outline, like the blue wall and the orange, err, whatever it is :P tape for the wallpaper or something? So which color do you choose? do you just go with what seems to look better or is there something specific, like choosing the color that is darker?

Those are great additions to the backgrounds, though I agree the pots look odd. The brown one look pretty nice though.
I love the gradients you used on the plants and the chair's shading is great too. And of course, can't have an office without papers lying about ;)

Thank you agsking! Very interesting link, that. Thank you very much. And yes Miss Ginny, can't have an office without a mess ;)

*drum roll*

Here is my second attempt ever at drawing a character on the computer. I think it's a high school teenager. Your typical cheerleader-type :)

Great! Great shading!

The skirt is a little too side, looks like it might fall off :P, and the hands seem a bit odd, though I dunno what would make them look more hand like. Her breasts are a little long, don't you think? Maybe they should be more straight up :P

You sure are quick!

Yes her breasts do look a little long, and maybe you should make her eyes white, but still a great character and good shading.

I agree about the girl, totally. Thanks for the feedback. Here is a guy, a little more typical. I guess I should try animating some of them soon ;) And oh yes, by the way, I am simplyfing the hands on purpose.

And here is a little princess ;)

And as for my time machine game, here the player meets Napoleon, who has gone a little "crazy" during his stay at St. Helena:

I like the last one, heh.
These are a little big... Is this game going to be 640x400 resolution?

Sweeet!!!

The 'typical guy' looks great, I love the expressions!

God, this rocks, I would love to play a game in this style!

:)

agsking: These are all just tests. These are not the characters I will use in the game. They are certainly idead I'd like to explore, though. The game is 800x600, actually.

Magnus: Pleasure to meet you, fellow viking.

Ginny: Thank you :-)

Here is an improved version of Napoleon. Now he looks more noble, yet I still feel he looks crazy enough for the role as "Napoleon gone mad" ;D

Al_Ninio

I like the characters!
That last version of Napoleon reminds me of the style of "Piposh" (an israeli adventure game that you probably never heard of)

Thanks!

No, sorry. I have never played it. If you want to give me a URL or something, I'd love to check it out.

Well, It's a commercial game, and it's in Hebrew...

Dang. My hebrew is a bit rusty these days. Oh, by the way, let me introduce you to "The King":

Awesome!

And yeah it does remind me of Piposh a bit, though I havn't played piposh, but I've seen the art in an article (get it? :P).

Anyway, I love the improved background, and The King is great too, though his hair looks odd, like it's very long.

Great work!

Highwaygal: I didn't know you were from Israel! There sure are many of us here ;)

Thanks everyone! And yeah, GinnyW, I agree his hair is messed up. I totally overdid the hair-due the fellow used to have.
