Yeah, this is really nice stuff - I don't know what your new way of painting adventure-ish is, but I do like the look of it... As Petteri said, it's a bit similar to the first Gabriel Knight game, and that is always good in my opinion...

Judging by the title of your post I'd make a guess that this is supposed to be hell, no?    

And, well, I really can't find anything to complain about here. Great job!

The name.. In this phase I'd say the _project name_ would be "The Light at the End of the World"..
If it sticks, it sticks...  (inform me if the name rings bells, I'd like to hear if we share the same music taste)
For the character I'd say nothing. That "back" was drawn in a sec. and I'd been figuring out that the main character would be more hellish. And I'd use Lightwave for chars... for easier animation ..  Even that I do pixel art quite a lot but I'm dreaming that this project might just be "it"..

..I mean I've been thinking and revolving the story for quite a long time.  So I'd love to try out big cut scenes with animation. And my story needs the animations too.  I'm not talking about DIG but something like using game as a replacement for a movie.

The only problem now is that I have to come up with little puzzles here and there. and of course I'd need more spare time (which always seems to be a problem too, but not particularly THE problem, because it seems that the more time you have the less creative you'll be).

I must confess however, that I do know almost nothing about them... What do they sound like? I'm quite into melodic, unconventional type of black metal (Summoning, Dornenreich, Finntroll, etc.)

Heh, actually I made those shots with an old monitor too, so they're too bright actually for others.

Megaherz I do not know, but  Isegrim figured out the right band.  Some songs on that album have a huge inspiration to this game and I've been considering the music to sound like that too.

It kind of reminds me of this comic series from forever ago ('cause I haven't collected comics in YEARS!!!!  I swear!!) called 'Havoc vs. Wolverine'.

At least ... I think that's what it was called ...

Anyway, they were all oil colors and not super detailed.  It's an impressive look and really sets a mood.

Heh no. No vocals. Maybe the same class piano, but more darker things. (strings etc)...  That mp3 on my site is just a quickie done in one night. I also sing in a band.. but I'm not going to mix the two (the band/the game).

I'd like to upload more pics but The ftp won't work from where I'm now. have to wait till weekend.

Reminds me of KQ5 for some reason, might be the sleep deprivation... might be the avid amount of caffein, might be both. Personally I think it's the outlandish perspectives.
