There it is. I have changed Zor Productions into ZorTech to lose the generic feel, and perhaps, just perhaps sound a little more pro!
I was inspired to do this after Serpent Pictures posted here, and got working straight away!

So take a look around, and don't forget to sign the guestbook!

EDIT: Oooh, i forgot. Pretend the Lime Green on the links is the red I use on the 'Z'...

The key to appearing professional isn't so much in the name as it is spelling professional right.  ;)
Once I killed a man. His name was Mario, I think. His brother Luigi was upset at first, but adamant to continue on the adventure that they started together.

Right, woops dammit!

Migs

A professional probably wouldn't say "Now it looks teh cool!" either.
This signature intentionally left blank.

Hello, I was joking...a pro would neither say !!!111!!!11 either...of course it's nowhere near pro...not even amateur...I was just joking!

If you want to look professional, I suggest losing the black background.. EVERYONE uses black, and it's very pretentious and boring... You are using tables, right?

Sorry sorry.. Meant to say somehing postive. I like your content, and the links are set up nice.. Good naviagation.. Just the color scheme itself bugs me.
You. Me. Denny's.

hey think positive!

zor i just thought you would turn out to be another annoying newbie, but you've proved me wrong. When you first came here your art was average nothing special for a new guy, you were very confident (not a bad thing) and were full of enthuasium.

This normally ends people up planning a 2000 room remake of smothing like ... ohh i dunno, colonels bequest ;) , well not you. You have obviously planned your game, worked on improving your art very hard, and now when i look at the counterfeit screenshots i really am quite amazed.

the new title screen looks lovely, the outside (and inside) of the building all looks lovely, and your character has a really nice qwirky feel.

zor, congratualtions you have sucesfully earned mine (and im sure others) respect in the forums, as a nice not annoying forum member.

nice one ;)

Zor, I realise this isn't C&C, but I've done a sort of 'paintover' of your frontpage.

Hope you don't mind, but I'm an insomniac, and there's nowt good on TV, so I've got far too much free time. Let me know if you want me to take it down.

Phemar

No, it's cool. You don't have to take it down. So it's basically just a pinstripe red+black pattern as the beegee. That's cool, I like. Only thing I don't like is the way you sized up the 'Z'...*shivers*
I see you also spelt professonal right...

OSC: Thank you very much!  Although:
Quotecournels bequest

Colonel's Bequest !!

I finally get to correct someones spelling  ;)

That should have been a :D

;D

Anyway, if it was professional, you'd be using CSS to layout your site, not tables... :P

Phemar

Ok, this is freaky...Lord Hart...Did you register me on your forums? Someone dod and they got all my details right...Aaah!

I AM NOT PROFESSIONAL! I DON"T SEE YOU USING CSS ON YOUR SITE?? HECK I DON"T EVEN KNOW WHAT CSS IS!

I calmly tell you that I am not professional. I use Mozilla composer for my site and know anout 2% Html code...Everuthing clear now?

When I said I wanted to sound a bit more pro...I was referring to my name!!"ZorTech"

Ashen

Actually, I used the same 'Z' you used, I just gave it a border to distract from the 'jagginess' a little. If you don't like, that's cool.

CSS means Cascading Style Sheet (or Cascading Style Something-or-other) and lets you use one file to set the look (background, text colour, fonts, link colours) for multiple pages, instead of having to set each one up seperately. I have no idea how to do it though, I only know this much because I lived with a Computing major in Uni.

He does use CSS on his site, even if you don't know what it is :P

Thats kinda odd... and I thought I had wiped the records of the forum anyway... I'm scared now. :-\

Phemar

Yeah, sorry. I checked his source and he does use CSS. It just doesn't look any different from the outside though...

LordHart

Exactly, that is the beauty of CSS... have a look at the old version of the site, which was made with Dreamweaver compared to what is there now...

Old: http://www.tdrdesign.cjb.net
New: http://www.tdrdesign.net

Have a look at them and then compare the sites, the code and you'll see how CSS can help you lay it out. Plus, the new site is pretty much XHTML Strict (i think  one page is just XHTML transitional)... which is good... :D

Phemar

Ah, I see now....The CSS loads alot quicker, as you only load one template and it uses it 4 every page...

LordHart

Once the CSS is loaded, it'll be faster as all that needs to load then is the content of the site, which is teh fun part...

...it fun! :D

True dat... ;)

Plus you can totally change the colour and font scheme of your site by only changing a couple of lines of CSS.
