Cafe Press is garbage.

They also fail to mention (until you read the new agreement fully), are several ways in which they will NOT give you your earned commissions. If more then 180 days go by in which you do not total up to the minimum $25 for a check, you lose it. (They charge you a $25 "administrative fee"). You will effectively end up owing them money

That's what they tried to pull on me, to which I replied "LOL" and promptly closed up shop. On top of all the hidden BS they try to pull on you, the merchandise quality is so low that you will literally cry. The t-shirts are equivalent to those old iron-on decal t-shirts from the 70's.

haha, my dad and me almost opened up shop there, trying to sell these t-shirts with funny slogans my dad has said...

but then, we saw one of teh shirts. rode is right. they blow

so we found somebody else locally, and are quite happy with them

I set up a cafépress shop simply to plop some of my old Destop backgrounds on stuff. I've naturally never tried to sell anything to anyone, but I bought one of my own hoodies and I really like it! It was probably too expencive, but then I'm not good with money...

Mostly: I've done the same thing.  I've made a few shirts that I wanted that I didn't promote or anything.  I just put the price as cheap as possible and bought them for myself.  I didn't think the quality was particularly bad.  I remember back in the day when they were a younger company I bought one and it was a piece of crap, but the stuff I've bought in the last year or so has been good.
