Critics' Lounge / Location Demo

Well...i found a temporary webspace to upload a demo(sort of) of the game i'm working on...
I post it here because there're no hotspots, objects, particular script, dialogs or other characters yet...is's only a location path(with little additions) that i want to show to see what do you think about a 3D rendered andventure game and if the proportions are ok...because i've the impressions in some rooms i've to revise the character size...

Any suggest is appreciated.Ã,  :)

I dont know if this's the right place to ask but.....i would like to upload my little part of the game to see what do you think and have guggestions about the rendered rooms...

Actually.....so far i worked only on room desing...the demo i have to show has no hotposts, story etc.....only walkable areas and regions...

Well...where can i upload it? And how?

I taken some screenshoots from my game...actually for the moment i'm working mostly with the art part(backgrounds, animated objects, sprites and other visual effets that i want in the game) and i need some suggest about it.

I'm using a 3d scenery maker and in some rooms i feel they are lack of details...what do you think? What would you add in these screens?

I was tring to make a shadow to my character...putting in the global script this commands:

followcharacterex(shadow, jade, follow_exactly, 1);
set trasparency(shadow, 50);

note: shadow has his own view with each walking loop to look more realistic

My problem is that in the game the character "shadow" follow exactly "jade" but its static(i mean that it doesnt loop the assigned normal view).

If i sobstitute a number of pixels to "follow_exactly" then "shadow" animate but it doesnt follow the main character like a true shadow... :-\

Is there another way to make a decent effect?

Hi,
i'm tring to make an ags game with rendered backgrounds...well...the programs i'm using is "Vue d'Esprit 4"...a good 3d scenery maker. I would like to know your opinion if this's a good idea because i've seen that mostly of the games here has painted bgrounds and they look very nice!
The resolution i'm using is 480x640(or something like that...) and i think the game size will too big...what do you think?

I've made an animation of the main character to use in case you fall in a hole or from an edge.....but my problem is that i dont know how to make it work in the game.

I thought to make an region where the character might fall with these script:

setcharacterview(charid, int view of the falling animation);
animatecharacter(charid, int loop, int delay, repeat one time)

now...how can i make the character falling at the botton of the screen?
I dont know if i've been very clear with my problem...but i'm not very good with english...thanks for the patience... :-[

I need help animating objects or characters in the background.
For example...i've a stormy background and i want to add some lighting effects. I think that its not the case to do the animation with frames of the landscape so i don't know if its better to create an object or a character to make it animating randomly(in my case the lightings).

I tried creating a character but if i set him animating when the room is loaded it loop only one time and if i set it repeately execute the game is stuck in cutscene mode... ???

Any help and suggest is appreciate, thanks!

I've two questions:
1)I know this may seems a banal question...but i couldn't find an answer in the ags manual...
The fact is that i dont know how to end the game(i mean the classic "game over") when a certain action or event happen.... Ã, ???

2)How can i make an event happen when a certain dialog option is selected?

Hi, i'm a AGS beginner and i'm following the totorial to learn how to do some of the basic stuff. Now, i've this problem: the manual say that i can load also TTF fonts type but i cant do it. When i select the font in the "fonts" windows folder and i click on "load"...nothing happen... ???

Another thing......how can i make a font looking smaller when i'm using the 600X480 resolution?
