I like obi's entry it reminds me of the great Leonardo, he's dead now but his spirit lives in, in this writing, as I trace my hands across the monitor for I am blind with happiness

I vote for "What a bitch" a eddy tale by obi

Well, here is a sneak preeview of Google's entry into this realm ...
http://spectrum.ieee.org/tech-talk/consumer-electronics/portable-devices/is-apples-empire-in-danger-as-googles-chrome-os-tablet-prepares-to-face-the-ipad
I installed chrome os to my netbook very quick but still early days and not really useable as a OS (used a recent hexxeh build) I did like the visual effect they added when you open a new window and keyboard overlay seems like they understand OS usability but they're a long way off yet I do hope they add the option to have a background, being in a full screen browser all the time makes me feel claustrophobic

For all the ipad bashing you can see it's something you have to use and experience for yourself before you can make a call, specs matter for real computers sure, but something like this? Not really the user experience is going to be the selling point, as much as I hate apple you have to commend them for making computing 'cool'

Persuading more people dragging their feet along saying "I don't understand computers" to take up a computer I had some other rubbish to say but I got bored writing here

Oh for craps sake, stop changing the shape!
Now I have to give up on this one and start on a new one...

It's a shame, I would have loved to finish this one.. But oh well.

EDIT: I just noticed, you have several different shapes? Of course this means I can continue on my entry, but why? I've never seen this before..

3rd of March whoops but well done Bulbapuck you win for your ghost pokemon

Haha. Seriously, if you enjoy a game it really doesn't matter what anyone else (Including reviewers) has to say about it. There are dozens of games that I have greatly enjoyed that received bad reviews and negative comments. It's all a matter of personal taste. I think every game, no matter if I like or dislike it, has at least one thing enjoyable about them. If I could afford it I would own every gaming system out there because they each have a game I would like to play. I bought the original XBOX just to play Shenmue. If I could afford it, after I get my 360 fixed, I would buy the PS3 just to play Heavy Rain. I'm still waiting for a universal gaming system that lets you play games from every system on one machine. Ah, wishful thinking. I probably couldn't afford such a system anyway.

You do sound quite the busy man, you should keep this thread updated so we can see your progress either your slow demise into mental illness or you become some sort of memory man solving crime

Either way it'd be interesting to read and probably help you see improvements, then you can release it as a best selling book "how InCreator beat stress and memory loss in 21 days!"

Photoshop yourself on to a super heroes body add unreasonable amount of lens flair BAM front cover to your book, you may think I'm getting ahead of myself but maybe I'm not going far enough!

I've been having the same problem recently I can literally ask my friend a question he give me his reply then I'll ask him something that he's just told me (usually multi tasking but still) I did worry about it for a bit I was starting to suspect it's my over use of computers, particularly stumbleupon where I will view a website for a couple of seconds before quickly moving on destroying my short term memory

It's strange because it's seemed so sudden but I suppose you would never notice unless it became a problem, now that I'm aware of the problem I just try concentrating harder it seems to be working just assumed it to be second nature before.

I'm having serious computer woes.
After having problems playing MystOnline someone suggested (among other things) making sure I had the latest Service Pack installed.  So I checked and I didn't, even though I usually update quite regularly.  So I went about installing SP" (Vista), and all seemed well, until I upon the next restart of my comupter, apparently the process hadn't finished... it was on stage 3 out of 3 at 69%, and stayed there for a very long time.

Perhaps this was normal, so after well over 2 hours of waiting for any change I decided to go to bed and leave it running.  Sure enough, when I awoke at about 5am this it seemed to have finished.  It was on the Vista welcome screen, asking me for my password.  It accepted my password, and then the screen went black, and a window came up asking  me to 'Activate Windows now' or 'Activate later'.. I clicked 'now'... and an error message came up telling me to reinstall Windows... something I'd rather not do if I can avoid it.

Then it crashed anyway, when I brought up the 'How do I reinstall Windows' help link.

So I restarted my computer, and guess what?  it went straight back to the installation screen saying it was on stage 3 out of 3, but this time it got stuck at 65%... I decided to leave it running, go back to bed and deal with it in the morning.

Morning came, sure enough, there it was again asking for my passwords, which it accepted, and sure enough the black screen came up asking me to 'Activate' Windows...  this time I clicked 'Later', which is why I'm able to use my computer...

The thing is, everything is working, an my computer even now has SP2 installed on it according to the System Information.  But the worrying thing is a) I clearly can't wait 2 or more hours every time I want to use my computer, and b) my wallpaper has disappeared, leaving a black background, with a little message in the corner saying "this copy of Windows is not genuine"... Well I assure you it IS genuine.  It's the very Windows that came bunged with my computer in the first place.

What do I do?
(Clearly the first thing you are thining is 'Reinstall Windows' but I'm woried about the consequences...  Will I lose everything?  I mean I have a lot of stuff backed up, and the means to back up anything that's not, but I'd really rather avoid the faffing about if there is a simpler solution I'm not aware of.)

Cheers.

I'd use the repair option with a vista install disc (if supplied) or get hold of windows 7 and perform a upgrade both should replace the system files, system restore is a option too if you have it enabled.
