<<  COLORING BALL: Quest For Glory  >>

Our heroes are tired after a lot of fights with dragons and wizards.
Both are sitting at the table waiting for some reward to ease their pain, restore stamina, heal wounds, or even give joy.

[imgzoom]http://ags.pics/Gi8n.png[/imgzoom]
Logo text and background images are edited from Quest for Glory II

You are now their hero, give them an item you think they need.

The items must fill any of these shapes:

[imgzoom]http://ags.pics/Gqsy.png[/imgzoom]
[imgzoom]http://ags.pics/GT2N.png[/imgzoom]
[imgzoom]http://ags.pics/G4gf.png[/imgzoom]

You may:

-color the outlines
-rotate the sprites 90°, 180° or 270°
-flip the sprites horizontally and/or vertically
-use animation
-submit multiple entries

however, be consistent with the theme and only use the EGA palette:

Trophies

Entries are accepted until August 5th

And now it's time to VOTE!
Please vote for your favorite three items in this format:

First: #
Second: #
Third: #

You two get the bronze pinwheel!

[imgzoom]http://ags.pics/Dkry.gif[/imgzoom]

And in Second place, Klatuu's miniature Grim Reaper gets the silver pinwheel!
[imgzoom]http://ags.pics/DpvN.gif[/imgzoom]

And our First Prize winner is Krysis' wind-up toy camel!
Congratulations Krysis! Here's your golden pinwheel!

I would like to mention that DWR have submitted a cool "friendly entry" on Twitter
for fun! Here's the image (it's outside the shape but still awesome work DWR!)

Thank you all for participating, voting, visiting! <3 <3 <3
Congrats to all winners and see you soon in the

this is a great idea Anas. I love the water floating there :D

Just wanted to say, water has less of a shadow, it has light refractions, that would look even cooler ;)

selmiak: You are the reason of so many beautiful things in this world  ;-D check this out:

That floating river is such an interesting concept.  I look forward to finding out more about this environment!

Oh there's more to that  ;)

Sorry your majesty; but the space between us is tremendous.

Thanks Cassiebsg! Building the 3D model took less time than coding the random fish jumps  (laugh)

Sorry about that. In this context, the intense light would survive the distortion, I think other types of rays like gamma or x would also survive, but I chose light. Typical communication signals would be distorted.

As for the plug-in, I ended not using it because it slowed the performance :/ ..if I figured how to overcome this I would definitely use it.

Distortion from the massive radiation levels from the Juvian system.

You can look to what the current owners of the Star Trek IP does to people who produce fan works for the only appropriate response.

This is where the hypocrisy begins whether from the corporations or their fans. Everyone has the rights to their IPs.

To give you a couple of examples of the similarities, this ancient Egyptian ship announced back in December 2014 called The Emitter. It sends signals in the form of intense light due to the distortion of Jupiter (radiation) and you need to take Carter for a spacewalk to reach there. This is exactly what Michael Burnham did as she took a spacewalk to the ancient ship "The Sarcophagus" in episode 1. The ship then "emitted" an intense signal in the form of light beams due to the background distortion and when the captain asked if that was a weapon, Burnham replied: "It seems to be some sort of signal emitter."

Another example is the Ethereal space. Where Carter appears in this alternative world. As he moves, you can see traces of his previous (past) sprites. Thanks to selmiak for the help!. For the first time in Star Trek, they managed to make this weird connection thing through long distances as well. The way they enter the world, how it looks, the dots.. backgrounds.. They even had an alternative way to induce the entry by placing a device on Burnham's head. Like Carter here.

BTW, if I understand correctly, their tardigrade is not really blue.
...
It is only shown in "blue light" in some scenes it seems.

It doesn't matter. It's displayed blue on screen to the observer most of the time. Also they are trying to say that the tardigrade is not a major plot of the series, while its existence and abilities were the reason of the entire plots of the episodes and how the federation won the war against the Klingons... etc..

Crimson Wizard: in this Space.com article, the show runner admitted that him and his writing team look for ideas from other shows and movies. So the 'borrowing' part is definitely happening. I hope you go over the full list of the similarities taken from Tardigrades.

Mandle: Thanks buddy. No one will get away. Don't worry. And I'll keep working no matter what  (nod)

Crimson Wizard: What you're referring to -I think- is what their lawyers are trying to force on me, which is the concept of Scènes à  faire, the scenes that a specific genre usually have, like cowboy fights in western movies, parrots with pirates.. etc.. but the enlarged blue tardigrade used in space travel is a unique expression of an idea.

Ben X: oh my God I learned so much about the law in the last 2 years! And yeah I hope people get over the similarities and enjoy the game as an independent project :)

Let's say I was naïve and didn't understand the law.
Why did they offer not to sue me from the first place when my posts are years before theirs?

My project is already spoiled. When released, no one would be able to see the characters and concept I created without linking them to the show :/

Ben X: Huge difference between being scared from a phone call that might happen anytime not knowing what would be the offer, and what they actually offered. First of, they didn't bother contacting me until they were pressured by the article. Then the call was between me, my lawyers and theirs. It is an insult to make such an offer specially that those offers are two-way so they wanted to make sure I won't sue. This offer was a threat to crush my project. They promised another call but they kept running away with excuses. All doors were closed, I couldn't risk completing this huge project and have it shut down with a signature. I had to force my rights.

Thanks RetroJay and Slasher  :-*

Vincent, thanks for your sincere feelings. I know how hard things can be when caring for the elderly. Some of us, when we grow older we become annoying. Some won't. My father was a very pleasant patient. But that's because he was this way through out all his life. He never ever mistreated us, I don't even remember a time he said a bad word or swore at us. This doesn't mean there weren't times I wished I wasn't put in a caregiver shoes. Part of the this feeling is because I don't want to see him sick, or in need of someone else to perform his basic and "embarrassing" daily needs. The first few months were hard on both of us. But later a sweet and a beautiful bond was created between us as I mentioned in the blog post, he became my son. No day passed without me telling him how much I loved him, hugged him, surprise him with his favorite snacks, play favorite movies... etc.

Even though I think I was a good caregiver, I still wish he comes back even for a minute to tell him how much I love him and give him a hug, hear his laugh. Stay close to your loved ones. Life is short, good times become good memories.

Thanks Mandle. If you want to see a thorough legal review you can check Nick Rekieta of Rekieta Law Channel on YouTube. He's an expert and he downloads all the official legal documents and analyses them word by word.

This is his first video (please make sure no food or liquids are in your mouth when you look at the video thumbnail):

I am trying to get back on track after my father's passing. It's been weeks and here's my first progress:

I won't ask any of you about the cameo, you're all adventure games professionals and already know it:

Hello everyone. As some of you already know from my social media, my father passed away on the 27th of April. I though it would be appropriate to update this thread accordingly. I have also written a blog post about it if you have the time to read it.

Dad, I love you
