Wow, that was some serious Walken-ing. I'm surprised no one broke anything.
Note: Again, you cannot see Grundislav from the waist down. Coincidence? I think not.

But really, both videos were great. I know I enjoyed them.

There is one time where I considered it ok for a dead-end type of puzzle, and that was in Space Quest 2, where you get french kissed by the alien in one of the cells, and then during the endgame, which isn't very far down the line, it's spawn rips our of your chest. The reasons I think that this wasn't awful are the following:
1. It was a pretty great spoof off of Alien, and obvious made to be a joke.
2. Most gamers would realize that a huge, malicious-looking alien accosting you is probably not a good thing, and wouldn't save over their previous save games.
3. There wasn't a lot of game-time to replay if you went all the way to the part where the alien rips out of your chest.
Besides that, dead-ends=huge pain. But I wouldn't mind another game with something the one in SQ2.

This wasn't the most painful experience on earth, but damn did it suck. I got a very bad kidney infection over the summer where my kidney swelled up and started to form an abscess. So I ended up spending just about two weeks rolling around in a hospital bed clutching my abdomen, with a fever of 105, vomiting everything I ate and getting repeatedly poked with needles until none of the nurses seemed to be able to find my veins after the first, no, make that the 8th, time, while the doctors kept switching my antibiotics because nothing was working.
Not the worst thing that can happen, but it still sucked hardcore. Thankfully, I now have two healthy kidneys.  :)

Personally, my favorite game of all time would have to be Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers. This is nothing I don't like about this game, which isn't something I can say for any other game. There are some that come very close, like MI1 and FOA, but growing up with Sierra may have biased me a tad. I think Gabriel Knight is, at the very least, the great Sierra game of all time. I do love SQ4 and QFG4, so it's a really hard choice. Damn, it is so hard to pick a favorite, already about ten more games are popping into my head, so I guess I'll just quit now before I go on an intense rant leading to a top twenty list.  ::)

Usually, I play through at normal, unless there are absurdly hard or annoying action sequences or some other sort of puzzle(SQ4 Burger puzzle, for example) that seriously reduce the enjoyability of playing through a particular section. Personally, I like to be challenged, but without wanting to rip all of my hair out, and normal tends to work well for that balance. The option to go harder or easier is really nice to have, though.

Once upon a time, years ago, there was a girl who loved adventure games, and played her brother's games night and day until they were all finished. This prompted her to search far and wide on the 'net for "Quest for Glory" fan games, until she came upon QFG 4 1/2, ignored the warnings and played the inappropriate and hilarious game all the way through. From there, with her curiosity peaked, she discovered an amazing site where adventure fanatics had created their own games. She proceeded to play them when she should have been doing work, and thus the habit formed.

I'm thinking about selling the rights for the movie.  :P
