/kill will kill you, reseting you to the spawn point.

EDIT: Just reread Galen's post and realized that this isn't relevant to the problem.  Disregard this post.

Simulation or not, this universe is here and we're in it.  So I'm going to stop wondering about it's nature and have a taco, because at least I know THAT is delicious.

Bt

My thoughts exactly.  I'm not even sure if any of you exist at all.  All the proof I have is text on the internet that I'm reading with my eyes, both of which can easily be fooled.  Doesn't stop me from enjoying life.  There's always the statistical possibility that life is a sham, or we're all just robots, or just in each others over active imaginations.  Be aware of it, but don't let it get in the way of enjoying life.

I know what you're talking about, Calin.  I'm familiar with the theory.  My personal philosophy is that I can never be 100% positive about anything, due to Descartes and my understanding of Quantum Mechanics.  So, I do believe that this is not only possible, but probable.  If we've advanced so far in the realm of robotics and AI in such a short time, it's possible another civilization could have had more time and created a simulation of their universe, or a universe with rules they defined.  If anything, this argument explains a lot about the universe and even gives credibility to the existence and communication with God.  It would make sense that if the programmers created or noticed Earth in the simulation, they may have tried to shape the development of the planet and ultimately humanity.

Quote from: anian on Fri 24/12/2010 07:50:57Personally I'd don't like the system (although I guess it is more accesible) and like to play games in one go.
I have to agree. I like big stories and having 5 episodes that need to work alone too, just waters down the big picture. The episodes are okay as snacks, but I doubt any episodic game will ever make it to my top 10 games of all time.

Btw, I think the episode system is also caused by funding, as releasing a game in 5 pieces means you don't have to work on a game for a year or two with zero income. Understandable, but still kinda sucks.
They're really pushing the cliffhanger in the Back To The Future game, though.  It's almost to "Adam West Batman" level cliffhanger.

HardyDev just posted what might be the shortest review in the history of HardyDev!

English is weird.  "C"s and "K"s are pretty much interchangeable most of the time.

Cool, then I'll be now replacing all my "c's" with "k's" and "k's" with "c's"!

btw Is that Kitizen Cane in Galen's post?
It doesn't work there, because the "C" is acting like an "S".  I blame all the people here from England and only them.  Every Brit not on the forums is not held accountable.

btw is it "cover disc" or "cover disk"?
English is weird.  "C"s and "K"s are pretty much interchangeable most of the time.  Having  two symbols for the same phoneme...This is why the terrorists hate us.  It's not capitalism, it's not how we treat less prosperous nations.  It's out confusing alphabet.

I think the finale made up for it's short comings.

I really felt like they managed to make something both "Back To The Future" and "Telltale" simultaneously.  Even with that, it felt like Doc and Marty were the same Doc and Marty from the movies and that's how I judge adaptations.  Plus, there were some pretty funny easter eggs hidden around 1936 Hill Valley.  I'm once again disappointed that the next installment isn't out yet, something that always happens to me when I play Telltale's Episodic games.  I'm going to say, if you love the movies and the character, get the game.  Stepping into their shoes and learning more about Hill Valley, Marty, and Doc is a blast.  If you're looking for originality, you're not going to find it here.  It's supposed to be kind of predictable, it's one of the themes of the series, how history seems to repeat itself over and over again, but just because it's not new, doesn't mean it's not fun!

Just downloaded the first episode of Telltales new "Back To The Future" game.  I've loved the stuff they've put out in the past and back to the future has literally shaped the way I live my life, in the way religion does for some people (I've dedicated my life to being as awesome as Doc Brown).  Hopefully this union will be exponentially badass.

I saw a bright star.

I travelled westward for many miles before happening upon a stable.

and there, in the manger, lay Chris Jones.
I think you're getting your "C"s and "J"s mixed up a bit.

Has the server been reset/updated since the beta release?  That might be part of the problem with the instability.  I know I've been falling though the landscape too much to chalk this up to just server problems, though...
#12
Just finished playing it.  Awesome.  :o Hit me up if you need another beta tester for part III or anything else.
#13
Wow...They get to beta finally and my game crashes twice, the first times since playing.
#14
Wow, you released this fast.  I was expecting a wait of six months or so!  I'd be playing it right now, but it's 6 AM here and I haven't slept yet.

Awesome.  Can't watch it yet, though, coz I'm in the library and haven't brought my earphones out with me.

I still check back on there every few weeks or so, as well as hrwiki.org, which is a great way to kill some time.

I know the Chapmans have been busy with babies and SBCG4AP, but as a fan I'm a little put out.  Not by the lack of new content as such, but by the general lack of communication.  It seems the only time the site gets updated these days is when there's a new product in the store.
Yeah, I felt the same way until I realized that the toons are all free, they use no ads on they're site, and the only way they make money is on licensing and the store.  I can't stay mad at the people who've made me laugh so much over the years.

I'm glad that they put out the new toon.  I liked it alot.  I've been giving the Brothers Chaps a fair deal of slack, as far as new content goes.  One of them just had their first child and they've always had some project related to the site in progress during this time as well, whether SBCG4AP or Poker Night at the Inventory.  Plus, any toon about Senor Cardage is okay in my book.  "Hot Pooey- Oh Dear God!  What have we done?"

I got 1420.24m, but I also echo Samout's query...what in the hell?
No idea.  My friend showed this to me like 5 years ago.  Instead of paying attention in his Programming lectures, he played this.  As far as I can tell, you get hit by a bike and try to land on girls to give you boosts.  Don't hit the girl with glasses (she ends the game) or the girl with black hair (she blocks power up girls, except in rare cases), and don't hit the dudes (they angle you up or down).  You have three red up power ups that you use when the word "Aerial" is red and can use a down power up if the "Aerial" is blue and the meter is at 100%.  The down power up recharges, but you only have three up power ups.  Scenario-wise, I have no idea what's going on at all.  I'm pretty sure that the entire country of Japan is just a surrealist piece by Salvador Dali that has continued on after his death.

I got 3220,01 this time. Managed to figure out how the special moves work :)
I just got 4369.22 m.  A few years ago, I think I got around 5000.

An old game I keep going back to is Nanaca Crash.  Very weird, but simple.  It's got an anime feel to it, so if you hate that, stay away.
