The Hottie and the Nottie, starring Paris Hilton, is pretty fucked up.

POSITIONS WANTED: SPRITE ARTISTS/ANIMATORS - CHARACTER AND/OR ENVIRONMENTAL ANIMATIONS

Hello again good people of the AGS forums!

We're moving ahead fast at Quest For Infamy, and we're looking to start producing more sprites and animations.  If you're interested in working in a low-res, classic Sierra Style adventure game, get in touch with me - either through PMs here or via email - blackthorne@infamous-adventures.com

Now, these are paid positions - we have a tight budget, but it's a way to make a few extra bucks and to help what promises to make a great game.

I hope to hear from some of you; I've talked to some of you in the past, if you're still interested, get at me!  Thanks for all your support, and we'll see you at Adventure X!

Is this 3d or 2d?

This is 2D retro - simulated 3D, much like Sierra-On Line and LucasArts games of the 1990's.

I'm very interested in this, and I think a lot of others will be, with the coming of OUYA ( http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ouya/ouya-a-new-kind-of-video-game-console )  Being able to make our games for a console would be pretty interesting.

Yeah, The Colonel's Bequest is a murder mystery, but it's done in a style pastiche with a touch of humor.  The cliched and cardboard characters, with their punny names on celebrities of the era, are part of the fun.  It's really supposed to be a fun who-done it game.  Like a game of Clue you'd play with your friends.

Heh.  I played the demo of this, and worked with the creator for a while.  Really cool little game.  Would have loved to seen it finished.

So, just to be sure:
pledging $35 will get me the physical dvd case - regular edition
pledging $60 will get me the physical dvd case - special edition
pledging $120 will get me the big boxed special edition edition?

You are correct, sir!

We're in our last few days of our Kickstarter - and we're definitely lucky.  It's been a great experience, and a ton of fun.  We're going to get to make this game, and make it awesome... everyone on the team is stoked.

Thanks for all the support, guys.  For some of you, it's been years of support.  We're just happy to be able to do this!

Hello there!  Infamous Quests is looking for artists and animator who want to work on QUEST FOR INFAMY, our first commercial project.

BACKGROUND ARTIST

We're working at the classic retro res. of 320x240.  You can create your art in any size, but for in-game use, it'll be sized to 320x240.  Must provide examples and/or references.   Must be able to paint in the style of our game.  To view screenshots or play our demo to get a feel for it, visit www.questforinfamy.com

SPRITE CREATOR/ANIMATOR

We are working in 320x240, so sprites are at a low pixel count.  Must be able to create and animate, at least rudimentarily, the sprites.  Must be able to edit and adapt other animators work, and work as a team.

These are paid positions, so serious inquires only.   You may send me a personal message here, or email me - blackthorne@infamous-adventures.com if you prefer.

I hope to work with some of you in the future! Any questions, please feel free to ask them here.

Update 18th Jan 2013:

Hello Folks!

We're still working on Quest For Infamy, and having a good time doing it!  We're always on the lookout for people who might want to help, even in the smallest way.

We're looking for -

Artists - both background artists and "close-up"/Cut-Scene artists.   The game is definitely Sierra Styles, 320x240 resolution - if this is up your alley, drop me a line.
Programmers -  If you'd like to help out in programming, and you have a good grasp on AGS, drop me a line.  We could always use a little more help with programming!

Write me an email at blackthorne@infamous-adventures.com or alexansg@gmail.com if you're interested.

Hope to hear for you!

None are based on any direct photos - one is actually like likeness of the artist's friend - and he even voices "himself".   Oh, Markus's likeness is based on Paw Dugan, who also voices him.  Some are influenced by some people, but Jenny Pattison, the artist, did design them all herself.

Thanks Radiant and Dave!

We're real excited to be working on our first original game.  Watching it come to life has been so much fun - doing the remakes was a lot of fun, and great practice, but it's really rewarding to work on your own ideas.

I say go for it on all counts! You can do it!

Yes, the source material is lost, save for some artwork that still floats around out there.  I saw it being sold on Ebay once.

Activision still retains the copyright for Quest For Glory, however.
