But did they live in small one level houses dug in hills with round door? Did they eat much? Did they really really like genealogy? :P

I'm a Pole but can't help you. It's Czech. (well I could try by analogies to Polish but that might not be good).

Can't ay what was first... Surely one of the first movies I watched on vcr (but had none myself) was Indiana Jones - probably Raiders of The Lost Ark

Yes, it sunds depressed... But I'm not so much pesimistic ;)

Well, my very real philosophy is not in a "poem". It's "You can't achieve an ideal state, but you should work on it".

Long time ago I made something like this:

Wake up with a smile
Live the day with calm
Greet the night with relief

"Runaway Jury" is also a movie - with Dustin Hoffman and Gene Hackman.
Tip made with aid of the movie - get knowledge of what the case is about, then try to convince them you have an interest in it. For example try screaming out loud something about the case, something like a postulate against the defendant. The defence will put you out :P

Blade Runner was what I anted to suggest too. ;)
I'm making a game in police genre which I called LAPD. Not gonna put it soon tough.

That's it. And after you get some screenshots here - work on releasing a demo. And if you have a demo than you're probably in an advanced stage of your game.

I'm sorry I didn't read it yet. In fact I've just noticed this thread. Hmm, I'm trying to make something similar - post my writing so I started a thread ("A novel") here, but I didn't do it on your example - as I said I didn't notice this thread until now. And I haven't posted any of my fiction yet.
Sorry for this long, boring post. I'll try to read your novel as quickly as I can. That may take me some time though.

Well, I used to play minesweeper A LOT! I played every level, mostly intermediate. The worst thing is, as someone said before, the 50/50 thing. It shouldn't be so. This is a logic game and luck has nothing to do with logic.

Well, at the point of how to present it - that's the difficulty. I'd appreciate any suggestions that sound serious. I thought about posting, but that may not be the best idea - though probably this way more people would read it and comment and that's what I want, comments.
I don't think I'm gonna produce a bestseller. I just want to show my writing to someone. Not much use from writing something and putting it in a drawer, never showing anyone. That's why I lose motivation to write.

EDIT: I've just seen "Air Hex" thread. I think I'm gonna pdf my writing like it's done there. Won't eat the bandwidth. Or maybe I'll stick to the idea of an AGS presentation.

1. It WILL be English - fine exercise for my lanuage skills
2. It may be long - depends on what I invent
3. I was not thinking of any particular source from which I could rip-off so I think I'm going fairly original - but if it gets here - you'll see for yourself.

Thanks for reply. I'll get going with translations of what I've got.

Great BG. I don't know really, but isn't it a little too dark for water? (and maybe to dark for the whole BG) I would add some lighter strips in shape of waves.

Could someone advice me what should I use to make my game music and where to find it? I'd appreciate any help.
