The worst was yet to come as the pebbles formed axactly a grandmother having sex with something undescribable. This was madness. I watched in horror as granny ponted her cold, wet finger straight at me and then I heard this cracking voice: Come to me, baby. And I pissed in my pants again...

I'm from Poland so I got a video a little later then guys more to the west I think.
Question: Is it VHS only or DVD too? VHS is quite an old tech now, but for few years after I got a recorder it was really a great thing. I used to watch many movies on that, borrow them or record some from the TV. I can even remember a few stories in my life concerning video. VHS used to be great, but now I don't use it anymore (and that's not only because my recorder is broken :P). But I got DVD juest a few days ago and I already watched a dozen movies with that. I really like watching good movies. Could spend much time just watching.

Things are going in the direction of a demo.

My first entry in this contest. I know it's not the best.

Meet Joey. Joey is a an insurance salesman and on new year's eve he wishes to change his life and become sort of adventurer. So there he is one year later - an insurance salesman who changed into Indiana Jones. Well, sort of.

I'm not from Melbourne too, but I think you can manage wih what you have - work and place to live at a start. And about your relationship, I'm no authority on this things, but I think she meant probably that you think about different things in life than she does or something like that.

Beginners' Technical Questions / Re: Object on
Sun 26/12/2004 17:47:59
Thanks, I just made an if statement in enter room and it worked.

I'm having problem with turning an object on. It's a map location that turns after a dialog takes place. I've made a global variable, imported it to the rooms script and made a function

// room script file
import int crimsc;
function Objec() {
  if (crimsc == 1) {
  ObjectOn(5);
  }
}

In the character interaction I set the var to 1. Still the object won't turn on.
And I realise my method may look weird to you but since I'm not too good at scripting I had to improvise.

Congarulations! I got a kind of job too - I'm helping someone to get ready for history exam for the end of the school. I know it's not such a big thing, but nonetheless it's a job.

Congratulations. Now take care not to break leg or something on the way home. That would be a shame after all that.

My I advice would be to make two versions, because as I see the full game will be pretty big.

Games mentioned above are promising and I would like to play them as many of them as I can. But the game I'm mostly after is one that I finally make. It will be my first and will be crap I'm sure. And it's not even close to be done.

Well, if it's not a chip in brain than it's not so much a potential harm. But yes, scrolling mouse cursor is not hard. But that cup would be a miracle for paralyzed.

True, XP is very old-game-unfriendly. But I'd advise 98 instead of ME. Maybe it's old, but doent' crash very often. Certainly get a better card.

And happy birthday.

Do you want the game to be humorous or serious? I mean do you want a wicked story where everything can happen and lots of jokes or a serious plot with less joking? If you want a serious one than I think it's harder not to follow a cliche, which is not really that bad if the story's well thought.
About the kidnapping part. What if the victim is really cooperating with the ones that kidnapped him.
Maybe it's like there's something hidden in a bike they have just built and the kiddnapers want to retrieve it.

Placing the character's walking images in loops such as those Roger has will give you a walking character just as you said.
As to resizing, I'm not sure about this but resizing character in graphic program is probably the only way.
Don't bother with the pink background. It won't be visible in game.

Wish you luck exploring AGS and making games.

Hey, nice to know you're alive and well, and you'll soon be home.
Of course we'll now be expecting you to make good use of your experiences "over there" and put it all together in an exciting Adventure game to share with usÃ,  ;)

Barbarian, just how much he can show in his game? Let's hope it's not all confidential military matters. :P

I agree, but please someone give me a proof this will only go into medicine. Somehow it's hard for me to believe.
