Well, every single word The_Schut posted in the above comment just look like a bad attempt at trolling the AGS forums to me.

So I spend half the summer away on vacation and take some time getting back on the forums because I have lots of other stuff to catch up on,
paired with art block keeping me from working on new AGS projects and keeping up with the engine, and now I feel like this:

In Sweden there's a massive heatwave right now and all the beaches and outdoor areas are packed, virus be damned. I've been staying indoors with a fan, but I feel like I'm the only one doing that.

I rely almost entirely on Firealpaca, it's free, starts up immediately without any loading time and it has a nice onion layer function that's great for making animations for your sprites.

I made this sprite in Firealpaca, and the onion layers really helped me making all the directions consistent;

You can keep all your fancy stuff. This hit's the spot every time  (laugh)

+1 need this in my life from time to time. Totally forget about blood sausage. Should pick some up sometime.

I always found the tomato a bit funny though - I mean, cmon who are we fooling. There’s nothing healthy about what’s going on here. (laugh)
The blood sausage reminds me of another Swedish dish, blodpudding, which I'd say is similar, but served in big slices with lingon-jam on it.
It's not that great, but it's alright if you put enough jam on it.

Those look great! No, I hadn’t heard of it, but I’m not surprised ~ this whole thread could become an ‘amazing German food pic’ thread if we’re not careful. (laugh) My wife steams dough to make those Chinese ‘Mantou’ and other things, so I can picture in a roundabout way how boiled dough would taste.

How about Sweden? Any amazing foods you can post that use the salmon paste I keep seeing at IKEA? I need to know how this salmon paste stuff works!  (laugh)
Yeah, I think I gained a few kilos last time I was in Austria!

Though for Swedish food, I'm not sure what salmon paste you are referring to, I've always had difficulties eating fish and try to avoid it, but most times people in Sweden eat Salmon, it's in filés or similar, and I'm not sure what to do with salmon paste.

As for the rest of the Swedish kitchen, I'm afraid it's not terribly interesting, as until the last few decades spices and imported food was rare and hard to come by, so most tend to be simple dishes mainly based on plain meat and potatoes. One typical traditional dish for example would just be roasted pork chops with peas and boiled potatoes with some brown sauce made from cream and the grease left in the frying pan after cooking the meat in it. Personally, I think the best Swedish cuisine has to offer is Kebabpizza, which came to after immigrants from the Balkans in the 90s who worked in fast food places came up with the idea to add kebab meat and the accompanying sauce onto pizzas, and this was the result:

It's a real treat if you're looking for a spicier pizza, though I've no idea what Italians think of this addition.

Looks tasty!
Has anyone here tried slices of Knödel? German and Austrian AGSers might be more familiar with the ball-shaped versions with pork in them,
but there's also the Czech variant cooked in loaves and sliced like bread:

I know lots of people think boiled dough sounds unappetizing, but when done right it basically tastes like
freshly baked bread but capable of soaking up all delicious sauce on the plate without falling apart.

Aw man, I missed the end of the vote by half an hour and my entry got zero votes!  :(

But congratulations to IntenseDegree at any rate, it was a nice game.

Those look great ~ what about filming one getting printed and then publishing a 10x speed run of it to YouTube? Probably something satisfying to watch and could spark some buyer interest.
Nice idea, I'll try it once I get the opportunity. (sadly, my printer has some trouble printing recently, and it might take a while to get it working again  :~()

I just realised by looking at the topic: do 3d printed dolls count as handmade?  :=
Well, you're right that the plastic doll itself was printed, but I made the 3D model myself in Maya (which took a lot of trial and error), and the faces are hand-painted and their hair and all clothing is made by hand,
plus I need to smooth out all rough edges on the dolls with a small knife once they're fresh off the printer. Is that enough handiwork for you to accept it as handmade?  :)

I think I randomly came across one of your tracks in a let's play of weird mobile games at about 1:18 in the video. You're gaining popularity! 8-0

Depending how you define Adventure Games, Telltale games and similar works have quick time events in many of the more action-packed scenes.

I'm actually surprised that I haven't seen more point and click adventure games experiment with quick time events, since while they've been criticized in pure action games for breaking up the gameplay flow,
I think they'd work well in an adventure game as a way to give the player a life or death scenario without having to introduce complex fighting mechanics in an otherwise puzzle/story focused game.

I think the same guy who did Gemini Rue also did La Croix Pan, which did have a sniping sequence and was a generally inspiring AGS game to me.

While I haven't made any good fighting mechanics in any of my games yet, one of my design goals of Commissar's Contrapasso was to try and keep the player on their toes and make them feel like in a war zone, able to die at any wrong turn,
and I hope to be able to expand on this in my next project.

I'm not sure how the virus could get on your clothes unless you rub them all over random surfaces infected might have touched with their hands,
and if you just walk around normally and avoid doing stuff like this, I think your clothes will be quite safe from the virus:
