Oh, well I didn't use this mp3 with Tunatic. When I was done transfering the tape to the PC I saved it as a wav file, and it is this file I used with Tunatic. But of course the tape itself is in a poor state, being played over and over again for years and then tucked away in a box until yesterday. I'm lucky the tape didn't break or I would never be able to find the music again. At least I have a tiny hope as it is now.

If it was a remix CD it would most probably be this one, disk 1. but I doubt that, it sound more like a "mix set" like a "BBC Essential mix" for example. Need just 1 or 2 more song names indeed...

Yes. It is odd that Tunatic can identify only one of the tunes but none of the others..

There are several remix CD's where this track appears on. Have a look at Discogs. Maybe that will help you further.

Thanks Leon. I followed your link and clicked every single link. Found the correct track on two cd's, but none of the other tracks matches my mp3. If only I knew the names of the other tracks on the mp3, this would be a lot easier.

You're right. That seems to be the issue here.

Tunatic have a lot of problems identifying this music. So I just made it search from different places in the music file. - ONE tune is now identified!! It is called Model 500 - The Flow and is a remix by some band called Underworld. Their music genre is Electronica / House so now we're getting somewhere.

Now I "just" need to discover the Mixed Album this tune is a part of. Any ideas?

Seriously, there's a program for the iPhone that you hold up to the music and it searches a huge database, and matches the pitch and rhythm etc to find the music. Particularly useful for things like your alien transmission, but then again I doubt it'll be able to recognise it.

I don't own an iPhone, but there are similar programs for Sony Ericsson phones I've tried with no result.
I you have an iPhone or have the opportunity to use Shazam with this music, or even know someone who can, please try.

I have been saving this piece of music on tape for a long long time now.
It is something they played in the radio in the late 80's / beginning of the 90's.
My older sister pressed the record button after the music had been playing for nearly 15 minutes, and got the rest of it on tape, but not enough to identify who the artist was.
I kept it in all these years because someday I hope I'll discover the origin of the music. But without a name, year or even a genre where would I begin to look?!

Today, I finally got the oppotunity to transfer my old tapes to the PC.
So this is where I hope someone out there could help me. Perhaps you recognice this piece of music or have suggestions on where to ask for help. I would be very grateful if you'd listen to it.

There is nearly 30 minutes of music and it sounds like there is more to it. It doesn't seem to end.

UPDATE: The year this was recorded was 92 or 93 according to my sister. She also informed me that is was most likely a live mix in the studio. So that means there is no cd to look after.
But I am still very interessted in the names of each of the tracks!

Matti - I say don't change the skin color. I think it suits her well. Also I still like the side view better than the front view, but that is because the older look gives her a touch of mystery.

Snarky - The paper thingies were also popular in Denmark at that time. I wonder how far it spread

I love the 3/4 and the side view. It looks really great!
But looking at the front view, I noticed that she somehow looks younger than she does on the side view. Perhaps it is just a matter of correcting the eyes and mouth a bit.
Can't wait to see the face on the 3/4 view.

Try this:
Ctrl + T to toggle transform on the rectangle.
Then right click in the transform area, and choose 'Distort'.
Now you should be able to pull the corners as you like without applying perspective.
