I had a truly awesome time, it was great catching up with everyone and meeting some new people too! It was great to be able to attend some talks this year, though I did kinda miss having a booth.

Thanks for the recording Neon, and don't worry, I'm hard enough to understand at the best of times! It's been a good lesson in making sure I speak up from now on!

And thanks theo for getting my proverbial 'ass' in gear regarding alpha testing, I need to get started on that right away, and get a copy of the game over to you asap!

Thanks everyone :-D So glad I can get back to working on the game without the Kickstarter stress!

It was really intense Mods, those last few minutes seemed to move in slow motion, I half expected a huge pledge to pull out and leave me under the target! Luckily it didn't  :-D

And I'm the guy who placed you in front of that green wall, bothered you with a camera and asked stupid questions :-)
And discovered my unintentional John Cleese cameo!

I'm looking forward to watching some of the talks I missed, and the Charles Cecil interview of course!

For those who haven't had a chance to play it yet, a demo of the game's prologue is now available! I'd love to hear your feedback.

I had an amazing time, thank you for organizing such an awesome event! I think my highlight might have been Mark Estdale's talk. It actually made me want to work in that recording studio!

Now comes the arduous task of matching usernames with faces!

Hi Ali, thanks for backing! I thoroughly enjoyed both of your choose your own adventures, I'll have to coax some friends along to one of the comedy club performances.

I'm honoured to have the approval of Nelly herself, I'm glad she enjoyed it!

I really like the tiny game, it was very atmospheric for something so short!

It was nice meeting you too, thanks for all the great advice about voice acting!

Don't worry, I'll really explore the dream angle, they're going to get pretty interesting as the game progresses!

Thanks so much for the warm welcome!

I'm glad you like the interview Mods, I thought I'd go to pieces in front of a camera but Michael is just so friendly! It was great to meet you too, my sister was so excited to meet people who'd actually played even the most obscure games in her collection! Thank you for backing, I really appreciate the support :)

Hi AGS community! Firstly I want to start by pointing out that this game is not being made on AGS, but after speaking to Mods and the rest of the amazing AGS community in attendance at Adventure X I've decided to share it with everyone anyway! I feel a bit out of place on the Construct2 forums as there are no other adventure games on the engine as far as I'm aware, so If you'll have me, I'd love to join the AGS family and be among adventure game pros!!

The Story

A serial killer is terrorizing the streets of Victorian London, and private investigator Sydney Emerson has hit a new low between finding lost dogs and receiving alleyway beatings. A turn of events sees Sydney forgoing his selfish nature and thrusting himself into perilous and increasingly surreal situations, walking the line between dreams and reality.

Explore the seedy streets of Victorian London, searching the slums, taverns, opium dens and even Sydney's dreams and hallucinations for leads. Meet a cast of interesting, insane and eccentrically British characters, and hunt a killer while exploring the deeper human condition.

I grew up using AGS, making games using RPG maker sprites as I was terrible at drawing, and I most definitely wouldn't be making this game if it wasn't for AGS!

Thanks for your time! I've already met some of the AGS community through my Kickstarter page and at AdventureX, and look forward to hearing feedback from a lot more people!
