Oh crap, I just saw James Rolfe talk about this for his monster madness videos.

Tales From The Darkside!

Yes, you've discovered my inspiration for this pick. It's indeed indeed Tales from the darkside.

What now, Buckethead?

Haven't had time to grab a new screenshot but here's a hint:
The movie has different segments and the screen is part of the last ( and best) segment

I'm glad you saw the movie and complained about it here, but actually explain why it is bad. I've seen lots of people online saying Fan4stic was awfull but never really say why. I thought it looked ok enough but I can see what's bad about it now. Thanks for saving me some time.

Nope it's not a Nighmare on Elmstreet (or any of the sequels or reboots)

Yes I recognized the distinct color scheme in this segment.

For the next one, let's get straight back to horror:

General Discussion / Re: the blender 3D thread

I've been trying Blender 2.8 and hoping to have it replace 3ds Max as my 3d tool.

It's the best Blender version so far but still a lot feels unwieldy because I'm not used to doing it this way. I was able to make this animation though:

It's not but it's getting warmer.

Here's another quote:

I did some redesigning. There are now just two screens and you advance to the next after selecting sprites. Here are some images for people who don't want to open up Figma:

I also started working on the actual app. I've made the first screen and you can drag and drop files on it like in this screenshot:

Still not sure how to convey what constraints do. Maybe some sort of animation to display what will happen. But that's for later.

1. If you are going to call it Mama mia, I think people are going to think of the musical and think it's about that. Especially with the ! as the musical also had that. Since you already completed the game I think adding the subtitle helps differentiate from the musical.

2. The new screenshot is kinda busy with a lot going on it. The previous screenshot is easier on the eye with less to look at. I do like that the new one includes GUIs and the pointer, please do crop of the titlebar.

3. The text is fine as it is in my opinion. One thing that might be a little confusing is that you mention Italian swearing but the game is in English. About playing the game or not: what mostly puts me off is the graphics style of the game. It is just a bit all over the place with the gradients and the inconsistent outlines.

Great suggestions! I'll see what I can do to make things more clear.

I don't think it's really clear what constraints does. A preview of what happens to the first frame might help here.
This is used if you have an animation that should go to from one side to another. For example if a character bends over to the right to pick something up, you don't want to crop all the sprites from the center. I hope that makes sense. It's even hard to explain in text.

Your wizard seems to only have one real step (the middle one). I'd consider removing the previous/next all together and just show enable options when at least one file or path has been chosen.

I would right align the navigation buttons (previous/next). It keeps next in position when there's no previous button and it's also consistent with how most desktop OSes present wizards.
Yeah I was thinking of having everything on one screen and having the crop button disabled until all the steps are completed

I had a pretty interesting dream a few days ago. I was going on holiday to somewhere in America that looked a bit like San Fransisco but wasn't. When I got there it turned out that stealing people's shirts was a really popular tourist scam. So popular in fact that even the person I was meeting with, was doing this as his day time job. Most of what I remember of the the dream was just walking through a park on a sunny day and people just constantly trying to lure me in a trap to steal my shirt. Then at the end of the dream I was trying to get home on time for my exam. Which was also weird because I already graduated earlier this month.

Hi all,

I'm working on an application to crop sprites according to the size of the biggest sprites, so the animation won't jump. It's an upgrade of an java app I did a while ago:
https://github.com/Sanderdl/SmartImageCrop

I'm redoing it because I want to add some new features and learn Electron in the process.

The designs are done in Figma which you can find here:
https://www.figma.com/file/QOjzmAWjVqKI4QSdOzDeMPWe/SmartSpriteCrop?node-id=0%3A1

If you want to edit the design in Figma yourself you can download it here:
https://github.com/Sanderdl/smart-sprite-crop/blob/master/design/SmartSpriteCrop.fig

Please let me know what you think.

The eerie close ups really stuck with me so it was an easy guess.

I'm not sure which movie to post now so I decided on this really easy one:

Fear the Walking Simulator?

Well, there is lots of walking involved in the game. It was originally made for Xbox One Kinect

By the way, the game has a strong connection to the previous game.
