It's Deadly Premonition or Red Seeds Profile in Japan. A game very dear to my heart, I own it on Xbox360 as well as PC.

Hereditary was pretty good:

Errementari was a fun one to me, although more a folktale than horror:

Aterrados was great as well. The story was so so but it had some genuinly creepy moments and great effects:

I'm not really sure why your regions aren't registering. I think it might have something to with how AGS processes clicks. Hopefully someone else can shed some light on that.
Anyway, you are making it needlessly complex for yourself. If you want to stop the player (or other character) from going to certain parts of the room you could just divide to room up in different walkable areas. Then turn off areas where you should not be able to go. If there is not walkable area active characters can't walk to the location unless you tell them to walk anywhere.

I think you should be fine. The components you are using look pretty standard to me. AGS is also probably just using standard Windows components so I don't think they have any ownership over them. As long as you are not using actual AGS 2.x source code you should be fine. Even if anyone had any legal claims over these they would still have to take legal action against you, which I doubt will happen.

PS

My vote goes to Selmiak. By the way, did no one do Black Mirror: Bantersnatch? Such a missed oppertunity  (laugh)

I can I still sneak one in?

It's too late for this game but lots of indie developers share their progress on Twitter while working on the game. Similar to updating a WIP thread on the forums. Even though the game is finished, posting about it on social media wouldn't hurt.

It's from a Netflix movie called Bird box.

Christmas crackers are mostly just very bad puns, atleast in my experience. Here's an example:

What does Santa suffer from if he gets stuck in a chimney? Claustrophobia!

Sorry I forgot to vote but that wouldn't have affected the outcome I think.

Here's my feedback:

Scarecrow and his Quest to Find a Brain by Slasher
Spoiler

The game felt very innocent, maybe a game for children. Which is certainly not a bad thing. The graphics has a lot of visual noise which makes it harder for me to see objects you can click on. I thought the scarecrow walking in a circle in the intro was a nice touch.

Black Friday by Danvzare
Spoiler
The graphics where nice and simple. Puzzles were pretty clear although I missed a few items because I forgot to look at the opened drawer. The voice acting added a lot to the overall enjoyment. Lots of funny dialog

Blooded Fields by Nr. 2698
Spoiler

I like a good dective story. The graphic were nice and retro. Some funny moments. I noticed the sword was flipped in the mansion compared to the newpaper but you couldn't really confront the owner about it. Maybe I missed something. The music didn't seemed to loop but just play once when you entered the room. There was a glitch when I ALT + TABBED out of the game. When I got back in the screen was half the size and black and white and I couldn't play anymore.

Spoiler

Nice simple graphics, the animations could have been better but it did the job. Pretty funny story and I like how you used the theme.

STRAWMAN  BOMBING  DISPOSAL by Mandle
Spoiler

I like puzzles games. The intro was pretty funny. Sadly I messed up, as one does, and the bomb exploded. When I tried to skip the intro to try again, the game closed. Might try again later.

Sniper and spotter climbing a tower by Blondbraid

I'm sorry to say that I haven't played any of your other games in this game series. Luckily the story was self contained. I really enjoyed the animations and humor. It was clear what your goals were right from the start. You did leave debug mode on and it wasn't clear to me how to save the game.

The Wicked Witch of the West by Cleanic
Spoiler

The graphics were nice and simple. I like the cutscenes, they were very effective. This game kind of suprised me in how long it was. I found a bug, you can already pick up the spoon with the scarecrow and grab some wine with it. Then later when Dorothy is freed you end up with two spoons.

I would have voted for:

One-eyed monster sounds like a pretty movie as well

Um, depends on your definition of pretty, I suppose...

Whoops I meant to say that One-eyed monster sound very similar in tone as Poultrygeist. I forgot the words "over the top"

Ben X tried to bamboozle us all but little did he know that the making of is all I have seen of the movie anyway.

The link to the previous movie is that a lot of hard work went into it as well.

PS: hard work is not a pun here, it's not a porno :=

I have not seen it but it's a movie called: kubo and the two strings. I'm not sure if the shot is actually in the film but I looked up stop motion films a few years ago after seeing Coraline and Box Trolls. The animator in the shot does indeed remind me of James Rolfe but I don't think it's him.

Looks like a UT2004 map or something.
