Why don't you created a new layer and paint on it with a dark colour and the normal brush. Then set the blending mode to multiple.

I always do it that way. I feel this way you have alot more controle over your darkening.

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't think the things you've pointed out matter much when I use this to model the character, but I also want to improve my drawing skills so I will certainly keep them in mind.  :)

It's also a good idea to follow the rules of human atonomy. Then you can get the proportions right and make your sprite look better already. Here are a few from the top of my head:

- the size of the body is 4 times the lenght of the head. 1 for the head, 1 for the torso and 2 for the legs and feet.

- The arms are twice the length of the head.

I say go for it. If he's really such a good friend he should be ok with it. Just treat her well. I dunno why her being under age should be an issue. If you are not planning to have sex you should be alright I guess.

I'm planning on modeling the tall man. He has this funky pose so that I can modeling and later animate him more easily. I still need to make a side view but I want to make sure the front is all correct.

Don't pay too much attention to his weapon. It didn't really came out right in the drawing but I don't need that to model it anyway.

Don't worry everyone needs to start somewhere. Just find some information about human anatomy. Your model is very messy in places. First off, if you are doing an organic model like this you should only use quads, no triangles. Unless there's really no other way. This should solve some of your smoothing errors. You also seem to have some stretched textures in places. I'm not sure if anim8or has any good tools for UV unwrapping but it looks a little messy right now.

Btw, if you are working from a concept sketch. Try drawing in lines of where the edge loops should be.

And don't be afraid to spend some extra detail in places. The model looks quite blocky.

I was wondering if anyone here has seen this movie and what you think about it.

It was highly recommended by a gay friend of mine. So I bought it and watched it today. I thought it was bloody brilliant. So beautifull, very well acted and very believable.

I'm especially curious about the opinion of straight people on this movie.
