Quotebut I know it's someone from GAC. 2ma2, I think.

2ma2 isn't even a honorary member. We hate him. He's a betrayer and deserter of ags.

wow. so much hatred. wheres the love man?

Ah, there you are then.
AGS does pad backgrounds if they are too small. It does not crop them when they are too large.

And yes, I meant Paint in my earlier post :) unless you wanted ASCII graphics of course.

that would be kinda cool to see. An ACSII ags game!

just on the subject of character files, has anyone made a character file editor. Where you could edit your views and etc outside of ags?

To start the 'clock' from the first release wouldnt be that good. Seeings many companies make updates and whatnot that can make a crap game way better, that dont come out for month or years. (such as the quake 2 patches that make multiplayer easier etc. (bad example i know)).

But still Abandonware is a good thing (in my view), because it allows you to play those really old games that we grew up on, without spending years looking around in bargain bins and ebay.

Largo, why do you draw things if you dont know what they are?
Is it not better to leave it for someone else to draw?

I'm also not sure what a priest would make of red candles.
Thanks man theres some good comments there. the red candle thingy is supposed to be a tabanackel(prolly spelt wrong), which pretty much all catholic churches have(or at least all the ones ive been in have.

Anyway heres a newer screenshot that have kinda more realisitic colors. unfortunatly shading isnt my strong point, so there is none...yet. I know i should look at some tutorials but oh well. anyway this pic fixes up a couple things (eg. color and the crucifix arms(?they called arms?) length) thanks for u guys help so far.

(this was only a quick concept picture to how the priest is laying dead. Keep in mind that pic is only CONCEPT!)

well a long long time ago, in a land far far away... hmm well probably not a land far away, but hmmm where was i? oh yeah. I was interested in game making since i found some program that allows u to right IF. At the time i thought wicked, cool, awsome. I looked on another site and found AGS. At the time it was still DOS. didnt do much with it though. but I still made a couple small demo-y games with it. Then all of a suddern windows came out and the forum was booming. but for some strange reason I havnt been able to make anything with the windows version. Even though it would probably be easier to use, i kinda miss the harder dos ways. Oh and graphical scripts rocked!

how could u!!?!?

oh wait, this was only a joke?

crap.

hey CJ if u get a ticking box in the mail, DONT OPEN IT!

Hey folks. I had wat i think was a pretty good idea for a game. I wont post the whole thing coz if i finish it then people will know what happens. anyways here what will possible happen in part 1

"Man haves weird dreams/visions about crying out in pain. he feels as though some force is telling him to figure it out. all the signs point to a church in the nearby town. there he finds a delusional priest who is babbling on (probably in Latin) about a demon with red eyes. then the priest dies or passes out and thrusts a pocket book into the mans hand. on closer examination of the pocket book, there in lies a plane ticket, and a church brochure written in Romanian. on the way back to his home he appears to be followed. as he opens his front door he gets knocked out. he awakens a few hours later. his house is trashed and there appears to be a blood splatter on the floor but it isn't from him. his phone starts ringing, after he answers it is a detective threatening (?) him. fearing that he will be framed for a murder he takes the plane ticket and heads to Romania."

and

But im not sure if my drawing 'skills'(ha yeah right) are suited to this kind of project. any ideas (that dont require me to pay people or get others to do the graphix for me)?

nice game man. couple small things. graphics are slightly off, but still pretty funny. Those aliens in the suits look wicked. posible almost the best non adventure made with ags. ok so maybe a tie, but still pretty good. Look forward to a non-beta(?) version
