Did Lorenzo just propose a pick against his own game to relieve FF from the guilt of having suggested a pick against Lorenzo's game...Ok I'm overthinking this  (laugh)

Thanks for the propositions everyone. I put them in the (stinky) fridge.

Good to see you back.

Is there a link with Eternal Chrysalis?

Nice backgrounds, at various stages of completion.

Many are sketchier than in the demo - for instance the ones in the «placeholder Â» folder - but I wouldn't mind playing a game in this style.

Roger that, FF!

A far cry from your previous choice  :-D
I like both games.

Thanks for stepping in FormosaFalanster.

However Patchwork was already chosen in February 2013. The list of previous picks can be found here.

I'll gladly retain any other AGS game. Please write a little text to promote it.

Thank you Heltenjon.

QuoteI’ve picked some times now, so perhaps someone else ought to chime in.
I appreciate your concern. I also try not to pick all the games myself.
That's why I've used enthusiastic comments from the game pages lately - with the consent of their author.

There's no limit per person so here's the deal: I'll use one of your suggestions unless another proposition is made.

Any suggestion for December?
#348
Nice. I can't wait to see more characters.

2) Royal Graphics Studio (A)

You can draw a region in the area where the player character should be to trigger the event.

Then you add a condition when the player click on the hotspot/object/character:

Code: ags
if (Region.GetAtRoomXY(player.x, player.y) == region[1]) {
//perform the action
}

else {
//do something else
}

Or you can simply make the hotspot/object/character non clickable at first and activate it when the new area is accessible.

Thanks for the savegame, fernewelten. I finally made it to the end.

QuoteFound the bug: If you first dismount the rotor, then solve the saw minigame, then the rotor will start turning again after you return from the safe view. I hadn't found this when testing because I always did things the other way round: First get the saw, then dismount the rotor.

I dismounted the rotor first indeed.

QuoteIs that so far the point you have reached?
I've already removed the rotor:

Weirdly, it's still spining.

QuoteThe placement of the tags doesn't match the placement of the symbols. So if you have two correct symbols, you don't get to know which two symbols are correct right away.
Ooooh, I didn't know that. I suddenly realize that my brothers and I have been playing Mastermind with bad rules as children  :-[  (laugh). My apologies, your code is fine.

Hi fernewelten,

Congrats on the release. It's quite a funny story and I look forward to complete it.

I think you should switch off the annnoying siren after the first announcement.
If you want to keep repeating the announces, please make them silent and display them in the background to avoid interrupting the flow of the game.

The feedback to the Mastemind game seems a little broken. For instance, if you place the same symbol at the same place twice, it can be tagged green then orange.

I stopped playing because I suspected that I was stuck on a bug:

I have the saw and the spork. After the ventilator is removed from the box, it starts turning again and I can't interact with it any more.

Lovely, I like those 80s haircuts. Please ask grandpa to get off the chair.

Ahoy Captain!

QuoteThe Secret of Monkey Island (of course) to be among my favorite games of all time.
It's funny how many times these words have been pronounced around here when I've rarely met people who know the game in real life.

Hi Sandra,

Congrats on a new release. The mechanics are well oiled and the banter is funny.

I got a blocking bug:

I'm not far from retrieving a fluffy bunny (I think). I convinced the guy that I'm one of the

I made him leave for the second time but he won't come back.

Pet shop, assuming you're one of the employees.

Quote* a _huge_ teddy bear?
My niece has one that's even bigger  :P

Quote* The Flash?
* a potentially lethal danger? (Don't worry, you can't die in the game.)
* True love?
* The two hidden characters and the two hidden connections between them?
* a villain from an earlier game by cassiebsg?
* death (probably)?
* the not implemented help function?
Didn't realize there was so much love & death in this game. I must be blind.

Thanks Heltenjon. I was about to pick an old game too.

I haven't played this one. I can only remember one other AGS game made with with Legos. It was pretty crazy and featured Fred Astaire.
#359
I only tried the demo and don't have the time to play the full game right now.

According to the feedback,  A curious pastime sounds worthy to be the next community pick of the month.

Heltonjon and sthomannch, do you mind if I quote some of your enthusiastic comments and set the game for August?

The vaccination appointments have peaked in France last week-end. It coincides with the arrival of the summer holidays. There's nothing like the prospect of meeting many people to make you take the plunge  :-D
Some people probably plan to travel abroad too. And some others may have anticpated the health passport that was announced tonight.

I got my first Pfizer shot 2 weeks ago. My arm hurt for a day and then I was fine.
