Deviantart is probably a poor choice for low-res pictures.

It's now hosted on Imgur.

Thanks for the walkthrough.

I was stuck on this to date.

Now, to find some oars (or a propeller motor)

I vote for Fire7side. I don't completely recognize Hoagie but he indisputably endured the passage of time.

You can tell that Mr Chocolate gets older but the treatment is not very far from movie makeup.

Quotehere is a longplay of the german version to have a first look before you decide to learn german...
I tried for years at school aber es hat nicht geklappt. Yet I don't feel bad about it because the Germans can't speak French either apparently.

QuoteI think the main reason Settlers of Catan is my poker party's favourite board game, has to do with that it gives a sense of achievement to everyone. When the game is finished, everyone has expanded from what they started with. It also helps that you need to cooperate with other players - winning without trading is almost impossible.
That's a popular one around here. It's strategic but not too complex or overly long, some essential qualities for a good family game.

During the last holiday, we had a good time with Jamaica.
The winner is the player who best balances their position in the race with their success at the side goals. Easy to play with some agenda management.

QuoteI can't believe The Cabin hasn't been awarded Pick of the Month yet, so:

The Cabin

"Why are you in this cabin? And where *is* this cabin? Why is snow the only thing you can remember? Piece together the clues in this enigmatic and beautiful first-person mystery!"

Hyperspace coordinates locked in, thank you  :)

QuoteWith the awards coming up, I guess some of the games from yesteryear will get their deserved attention there. I'll certainly be happy to write a suggestion about picking Zniw, Off the Clock or Money Mansion if they by some off chance don't win anything.
Yes, it's never too late to give some recognition to an overlooked game. That's something that I like in the Pick.  Only free games are eligible though (sorry Zniw).

Since you've been binge-playing games for the AGS Awards nominations, why not share your discoveries  ;-D

Just write a little blurb about any worthwhile free AGS game in this thread and we'll make it the next Pick of the month.

The list of previous Picks.

QuoteWhat game is the top right screenshot from?
Starr Mazer. The point and click part has been ditched on the Steam page, much to my regret.

Before someone asks, the 1st background was made by Miez . The 3rd and 4th pictures come from Last Express and Monkey Island 2.

Thank you  ;-D

Klatuu: if you agree, I propose that you choose the next topic since I'm already hosting the Background Blitz.

Quotere-envision that character at an older age.

Nonsense! We all know that video game characters never age! Neither do comic book characters. Only movie characters do for some reason...

STATION - DOCK

Many adventures will have you embark on a journey to a faraway land. To get there, you often need some kind of public transportation. Saying goodbye on a dock or experiencing a surprising welcome in a station can help build emotional stakes. This month, please draw me one of those places.

Deadlines
Open till March 6th
Voting till March 13th

Voting criteria
Concept: your background should tell us something about the place you have depicted.
Playability: does it have clearly defined walkable areas, things to interact with, etc?
Artistic Execution: does the image convey the wanted atmosphere? What's the feeling of the place?

Thanks Slasher. Just downloaded. Time to enjoy your 78th game.

I've tried twice tonight but I'm not able to generate the download key for In search of Marina on MediaFire.

Alright folks. Time to declare a winner!

Misj's cat-pirate (or is it a pirate cat?) takes the round.

Thank you all for this colorful batch

1st: Klatuu - you had a great idea to go with loose ghosts since the shape is very twisted. Their attitude is perfectly rendered.

2nd: Sinitrena - the picture is readable and funny. At first, I had a similar idea with a bottle of Coca-Cola.

QuoteI'm not entirely sure what there is behind the female dancer? Is it some kind of hat or veil?
I dressed her in white in the hope that it would pass for a wedding veil (roll)

Muchas Dank. I'll try to come up with something good.
