I highly recommend Yahtzee's "Chzo Mythos" (aka "X Days") series.

Being a small goth chick in the robopocalypse, with homicidal death machines everywhere, it goes without saying, you're going to have to do a lot of running. :)

Run, Forrest, run!

(Sorry, it had to be said. (laugh))

Yeah, where are the Maverick Hunters when you need them?!  Especially the main trio of X, Zero, and Axl.

At least we may still get a good number of entries.

Yeah, there are times were a lot have interest, but then some drop out because time and energy waned on them (or, in the case Gurok and probably a few others, RL s**t happens!).

But even then, we still might have enough entries to have a decent competition.

Yay!  Congrats to the winners!

Dang.  Looks like a REALLY sci-fi Mad Max here! 8-0

@funnyboy044 And the pedestal... it's almost like Indiana Jones meets Undertale (seriously, the skull reminds me of the character Sans).

Ooh!  Show and Tell!  That sounds good!

Grats to LTD.  Hopefully the June one will have more to vote for.  I look forward to see how many games will be completed for June's theme!

And I also look forward to LTD's theme for July.

I keep hearing MORTAL KOMBAT!!! whenever I see it! :-D

Yeah, it kinda does resemble one of those "Pit" levels in the MK series.

DBoyWheeler great work, i can defiantly see a royal rumble taking place there...  Is that lava down below?! Dangerous stuff indeed!  :P

Actually those are rumbling storm clouds below (the platform's pretty high up).  But whatever is under the storm clouds, it's a reminder it's not the fall that kills you--it's the sudden stop at the end.

Stop eating Pokemon cartridges.

At least just before bedtime.

Hey! Haha! I originally had that in my reply but thought it was too cheesy.

It worked better in a two-man routine I think...

Okay, that doesn't make sense.  Then again, my dream probably didn't make a lick of sense either.

This morning, as I was trying to wake up, I had this REALLY eff-ed up Pokemon-related dream.

In my dream, I was starting up FireRed or LeafGreen (the dream wasn't specific).  The graphics in the game (in my dream) were REALLY far out--as in definitely something I know beyond reasonable doubt couldn't be done with Game Boy Advance back in the day.

The Nurse Joy in the game warned that because I hadn't played the game in a while (in my case, since I started up Diamond again), the Pokemon in my party were starting to get mutinous (or at least she said something close to those words).

When I checked out the Pokemon in my party, their graphics and sprites were really cool looking (again, in a style I knew was beyond the GBA's abilities back in the day), as the art and animations looked like they came straight out of the anime.  But as Nurse Joy warned, they looked quite PO'ed!  Some scenes in my dream even showed the Pokemon attacking my character!

Weird dream, eh?

Here's my contribution to this contest...

A very high up platform, with crystal pillars on the corners... with thick storm clouds obscuring what's far below, and a blood red moon shining in the otherwise dark night sky.

Seriously, if this doesn't say "It's time to end this!", then tell me what does.

Thanks.

Oh, and I edited my earlier post here so that it would list the title, screenshot, and download link as the rules required.

A simple fix for the volume is to change it directly in the audio track's properties pane: 100 is normal volume, 50 is half volume, etc.
Okay... let's see if this fixes everything.
#417
Well, HOPEFULLY I fixed the volume (I hadn't noticed that much a change at my end), but I did fix the character speed and the display text (so the text wouldn't cover the characters in the intro cutscene or the ending).
#418
@Mandle I saw your review, and posted a reply.  Yeah, when you're forced to go solo, there are gonna be mistakes here and there.
#419
@Mandle Yeah, I kinda forgot to set the music to "quiet" in the coding (or at least some "medium volume").  Maybe in future games I could use the extra days in the month to test where the dialogue and stuff pops up so it doesn't obstruct the view of the characters.
[Update] I got the speed fixed as well as getting the dialogue to not block characters.  As for volume, I did try to fix that, but hadn't noticed a change at my end--maybe it'll be noticeable at your end.
[Update 2] Using what I learned from you, Mandle, I hopefully fixed the sound loudness problem.

Rejoice with me, for I have completed my MAGS entry!

It's called "Rosaura Docelestial: Rescue from Despair".

Here's the completed games thread for more info: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=54906.0

[Edit]
In order to help, as well as fit the submission rules, here is the submission listed here as well.
