I'm in.  For this, I decided to keep it simple.

A Crystal Ball item.  Maybe a sorceress dropped it, and she needs you to retrieve it--similar to Matoya's Crystal in the original Final Fantasy, only in this case, it's an AGS game.  Or maybe it could be used to solve other puzzles.  You can interpret this how you like.

Congrats to Hobo--his badass queen helped secure the 1st place win!

It was a hard choice between MISJ and Hobo.

But in the end, it was the queen's royal badass-ness that won my vote, so my vote goes to Hobo.

RPG Maker 2000 was the first RPG Maker I ever used, so I have soft spot for it still.
But it is getting pretty old. Are you sure that it still works on modern computers?

Yep.  I got it on Steam recently, so it works.

And I know it's kinda dated, but there's still a market for old-school games.

No, I've canceled the Pokemon one (and it was RMXP anyway).  I'm doing an RPG Maker 2000.  And it IS my own idea.

Hey all.

My current game project is slow going (kinda happens when you have to do the game pretty much by yourself; also, trying to get the Verb Coin to work correctly may have been what slowed things down tremendously).  I had wanted to get it done before year's end, but obviously it won't happen that soon.

So, I'll take care of what I can till about Jan. 6th of this coming year, but then put it on hold (fear not, I'm not canceling it--I do want to do the AGS game eventually), because I want to work on (hopefully) my first commercial game (this game made with RPG Maker 2000, though).  I hope to resume the current AGS project when that other game project is done.

Just wanted to let you know what's going on early this coming year.

[Edit] I may be starting the AGS hiatus earlier--after I wrap up one sprite, I'll put the project on hold and start my RPG Maker 2000 project.  Yes, it's a game that IS my own idea (not a fangame) and a project to be a commercial game.  But once that RM2K game project is done, hopefully I can resume the AGS project.  I do not want to cancel it--far from it.  I just need to work on other things for a while.

Hopefully gaps will be allowed in the shape, as long as the main overall outline stays the same.

I was hoping to share a video of my progress but I can't get FRAPS to record AGS without stuttering like crazy. In lieu, here is a screenshot of a pickpocketing in progress!

I leave for the in-laws in six days so chances are this is going to be a mess!
